Kill Switch update: We have temporarily disabled The Legion due to an issue that allows for infinite power spam. The Legion will be re-enabled once this issue is fixed.

Please allow the killer to abandon after end game collapse.

It is the most demoralizing thing to get stomped by a SWF who are trolling the whole game, only to get helt hostage in end game and when I dc to requeue I get a 15 minute queue ban.

I cannot describe how frustrating this is, only to get insulted after knowing I'll have to just wait. I don't mind losing, I mind getting ######### because your game does not allow people to abandon when they've lost.

For the love of god Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this, Please fix this.

I've been playing for a bit now, I've never really had an issue with anything that major. This is the single worst part of the game and it makes me consider not nice things. Please just add the ability for killers to abandon post exit gate being opened.

No this should not be a thing.

Why not? I feel as though you should be more specific as this issue is my biggest and only real problem with the game. For you to come in and say "No" with no valid argument against it is kinda silly.

I postedf this somewhere else, I think you should read it twice.

I think past a certain point if someone wants to leave that bad they usually just want to so they can requeue. What i'm talking about (having to wait, track the toxic trolls down or disconnect) usually results in added uneeded time spent (unearned and undeserved by the survivor team may I add, why is it always people who hid the entire game who are the most visible end game?) and usually makes me want to get off entirely and go play elden ring.

Killers are playing dead by daylight at a harder difficulty and need to have the ability to give up post end game colapse. When i'm doing really good and a survivor DCs (I know I shouldnt) but a part of me feels good. If the survivors win and they see me DC that should make them feel good too, especially since they ALREADY WON.

There has been tons of topics of this it would screw up achievements as survivors need to physically escape. I am also against even the survivor insta abandon when last go down thing that is already in the game. 10 seconds should be a grace period before the abandon option comes available.

It would just create the killer version of the door open → abandon. That is totally not where this game should be going.

Right bhvr should put a bot in so the game does not automatically end when the killer abandons. That not doesn't even need to be tailored for every killer cause that bot is only there to stop the game from ending via abandon

And there should be a grace period but when I waited ten or fifteen seconds with an open gate not chasing anyone and they don't leave they are waiting to be toxic and that's when I should be able to just leave

This isn't what being held hostage is, but I understand what you mean. There really should be a heavy incentive to go ahead and leave, especially if all 4 survivors are just hovering near the gate being complete wads about the entire thing.

Like…if they're all just sitting there, continuously not leaving, being total dicks, would it really be undeserved in the slightest if the killer came up, smacked one of them and the entity dropped perma blood warden?

Would be kinda difficult to separate situations where survivors are trying to leave after unhooking, or just waiting there for killer whole time.

Even if make some timer for being inside the gate, they will just stand at start of the area instead, where most killers still can't do anything about it.

I usually just go AFK, if they want to wait for me, I will gladly waste their time as well.

I usually just farm points with power or breaking pallets and doors. I stopped going to the door long time ago as if they want to stand there I don't need to be there I rather collect points and if I can't I will just watch tv or video while they stand there waiting.

As someone who holds games hostage to torment the killer, I highly disagree with this post

You queued up for the game. Play it out unless you NEED to leave. And if you lose, lose with some grace; you don't automatically become a failure of a human because you lost at a game.

Instead of going to the forums with a nonexistent problem, learn from your experiences. The things that happen in any video game don't matter to your life, so why are you letting it get you? Be nicer to yourself in defeat.

I can tell you 100% that the reaction you are having is what they were trying to achieve. By not being able to control your emotions you gave them what they wanted. I don't condone the way those survivors acted in any way, but on the internet, a little emotional resilience goes a long way.

(And to anyone else reading this in a similar emotional state, please don't take it out on the player(s) in your next game. They had nothing to do with it and don't deserve to feel like crap either.)

This game definitely isn't for everyone. If it's negatively impacting your mental health, don't be afraid of moving on to another game.

I agree with the emotional portion of this, as well as the 'you queued up for a game.' To that extent I'd say survivors shouldn't be able to just next-game on hook or leave at will either - but I don't see that option respected by most folks. Yes I recognize most of the leaving system is to counter-act slugging and the like, but the large majority of botting out I see done is not from slugging but people just getting a killer they don't like to play against, or not liking how the game started.

Either the killer should have equal abandon abilities, or neither party should, barring specific circumstances (4 survivors slugged, for instance, should trigger abandonment freely either way.) I'd say the exit gates being opened should be more than sufficient for a killer to be permitted to abandon without penalty with the exact same positives and negatives a survivor would recieve in event of leaving at that point. A bot wouldn't necessarily be required. The killer just going still until the game ends would be sufficient.

Yes this needs to be a thing, and I'd like Behaviour to address this suggestion.

As another has mentioned, this proposed change would make various challenges and achievements an issue to be completed, especially because achievements and trophies cannot be changed.
