What happened to the forum?
What in the world happened? I just reloaded the page and got flash banged, is this a bug?(please tell me its a bug)

It probably is a bug.
A very… flashy one.
I imagine it'll be noticed soon, if it hasn't been already.

Most likely they updated the forum version they are using and it some reason reverted back to the base version of it.

I'm so glad I saw this post when I loaded the forum up. I thought my phone and/or internet had cacked their metaphorical pants.

Oh my gosh this is awful. The white gives the forum a horrible clinical look. Its hard on the eyes too.

WE are back! Our Hosting company have worked with us today to fix the problem, I was worried I'd have to completely rebuild it lol.

That brightness kinda reminded me about og flashlight blind brightness, thank god my young eyes could hadle it back than.

On a more serious note: Was it a techical issue at Vanilla (the hosting platform), that caused everything to become bright white?
And also, the various things like points, views and stuff we normally don't see, it really added more depth into the scoring system, and how things work.
Third: When will the ability to change profile avatars be a thing again?1 -
- yes they did an update and it broke all the theming we had
- yes there's things that can be switched on / off on our side depending on requirements
- I do not think that's returning as it's not showing in their future plannings.

In any case, that third one has been a talking point for a while, since it broke many months ago at this point, and profile avatars is something that every other forum has, and some even allows uploads of custom avatars

Regarding the avatar thing, that's a little curious, isn't it? Any idea why Vanilla would decide to drop the avatar system altogether? It just seems integral to the functionality of a forum—being able to see who's who at a quick glance.

There was a workaround floating around some months ago, but I am not sure if it works anymore.
