You were comparing a killer tunneling to survivors DC'ing in terms of accepted behavior. That's not the same. Nobody said anything about killers DC'ing. Bots are usually dead weight regardless, everyone would rather have a living player over a bot.

And if the killer DCs, the survivors win and the killer loses. If a survivor DCs, it doesn't just affect them, it affects the team that was left behind and instantly puts them in a losing position.

Where have you been? This has been something on-going for years. It's why the DC penalties rolled out 10 months ago, so aggressively at first that Survivors were getting matchmaking bans for playing normally. People advocate for them to be stronger all of the time.

You're correct that it happens on both sides, but you and I are specifically talking about the moral argument which always falls on Survivor.

Translation: It's allowed for Killer so it's OK, but Survivor needs to be punished.

The Survivors do not win. It's a tie every time. The results are discarded. And like I said, what if those Survivors wanted to play? What if they had challenges? What if they had adepts? None of that matters apparently.

They're being punished because they abandoned their team, not because they played in a certain way. No game should ever allow a player to just abandon the team who wanted to play because they felt like it.

Everything you just said is much worse if a survivor ally decided to DC. Going for a adept, challenge or just wanted to play the game? You're now stuck with a bot with no game sense that will likely die very soon. If a killer left and instead survivors were left with a mindless bot, forcing them to play through the trial with a non-player, then I'd understand the perspective, but the game ends right there and you get to queue up soon after.

Its not that its accepted behavior, its that no one cares. Its such a non-issue that ends so quickly that most people don't mind if killer leaves because they just get to queue with another killer soon after. And for whatever reason, you're trying to point out that a killer DC'ing and ending the game is the same as survivor DC'ing, leaving their team behind mid match because they felt the game was over for them.

The only time this comparison is applicable is in 2v8, where if a killer abandons their teammate after waiting a long queue.

You’re talking about the inactivity warnings/bans which are not the same thing as DC bans. I agree with you that it was stupid how survivors were getting punished for playing normally with the inactivity bans.

I’m talking about DC bans for leaving the game early. I do think those should be stronger (for both sides) because I still see people doing it all the time and ruining the match for everyone. I still haven’t seen anyone arguing that it’s OK for killers to DC from a match. If you find someone trying to argue this, let me know.

It's true that these contents are cheap clicklbaiting slop, but you see that criticism is more frequently on "survivors being toxic" rather than a specific play style (like survivors do by criticizing slugging, tunneling and etc) is because playing Killer can be almost aguarbly far more frustrant than playing survivor, and that's usually by design.

Losing your hook because of a flashlight save or a sabo, specially if you feel that it was hard earned, will always be very frustranting even if the survivors weren't toxic per se, as well as having a bad killer match will always be longer than a bad survivor game unless if the survivors hang on to taunt you or whatever before triggering EGC

So all in all, Killer mains tends to hold more grugdes

It's more than just what could happen in-game. It's the fact that survivors who get upset at the slightest convenience (failing a save, gets downed fast early in the match, hears a certain killers tr, etc.) take things out of the game and will personally insult other players for stuff that happens in game. And this is what survivor mains don't understand. This is only a few of many messages I would get as killer just because I maybe tunneled once or twice in a match or slugged a bit because someone was around for a save. The last time I got a message like this from a killer was MONTHS ago but I'm guaranteed to get these kind of messages at least once a play session. Think about that.

If a killer DCs it's because they can't handle the pressure. Funny enough, same for survivors!

The matter of players DCing should not be partisan and anybody trying to excuse it should be called out.

So, if survivors win it's because the game is catered to them. If they lose, it's just because majority of them don't know how to play. Does killer skill factor in at all? CCs have turned this community's brains to mush
