Will the feature to remove crows by getting into lockers against The Artist ever be removed?
As an artist main this feature completely counters her most fun and skill expressive part of her power - her snipes. The Artists pick rate is already one of the lowest in the game and this easy and boring counter to her doesn't help. In my opinion The Artist has fallen behind in modern dbd and a small change like this would help her climb back up and become more fun to play. Please consider removing this feature as it does nothing but hurt The Artists most fun playstyle.

For snipes it really makes her too weak.
I had some fun with a combination of stealth perks and iron maiden. Make them think you snipe and then get the insta down.
Works only once or twice tho

I did state in another thread about this that they could nerf it so that survivor could not do fast locker entry with the crows so they could not that easily get them off in chase and it would also make it harder to get them off even longer distance as it would take more time to do.

I feel like the locker counterplay is necessary as long as Severed Hands exists in its current state

Lockers are kinda complicated issue against Artist. I think she would suddenly become too strong, if you couldn't use lockers to remove her crows.
When I play Artist against survivors who don't use lockers (either skill issue, or map with bad locker spawns), she is very oppresive. Especially if you use Severed Hands and some aura reading.
But when you get group where everyone will use lockers instead of repelling crows, then Artist suddenly has 0 map presence and is not that really that strong killer….0 -
DbD are already realising that the game is too convoluted for newer players. Sadly, I think they would not change it (though it absolutely should be changed). It would be too confusing for players who know this 'counter play' for it to be completely removed.
Instead, as part of her (eventual) add-on changes, give her an add-on that, for every swarm repelled via a locker, The Artist gains one token up to a maximum of X, for each token, increase the repel time by Y amount?
It doesn't solve the core issue, but she isn't always played at extremely long distance. Also, the new locker entry and exit buffers are a slight help to her when a survivor is close/mid-range and hops locker.
Ultimately I think this is part of a much WIDER discussion needed around The Artist and her power creep - she is a perfectly designed killer who has fallen behind. Minor basekit buffs, add-on pass (Severed Hand stays as is, Tongue partially/fully basekit), lots of useless add-ons need reworking a la Executioner's add-on pass.
The mistake the devs made last time they tried this was they saw her most used add-ons and presumed they were overpowered, instead, they're the only add-ons that make her VIABLE. Implying they stay as is, and, if you want to endorse add-on variety, the other add-ons have to change.

Isn’t that like the point as a counter?
