The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

Im so close to being done
Years. I literally pointed this out years ago. I constantly updated the thread in the bug report section just for a mod to say that its "working as intended".
Now this.
I cant express how much this makes me angry.
I know what you all might think. Its such a small detail. Why get mad over it?
Because we told them years ago that its missing just to get either ignored or get told that its not an issue.
(this meme was made almost 2 years ago)
Now ALL OF A SUDDEN its an issue that had to be fixed.
The feedback given here on the forums is worth absolutely nothing.
I would love to be proven wrong, but this genuinely breaks my heart as someone that cares, or used to care, about this game.

Yea, as a fellow Pig main this gives me conflicting emotions.

To quote a very good Star Wars show, "I suppose that's the final humiliation".
Just gonna leave this here.
2 -
I just dont know anymore.
Did the moderator straight up lie to me? Did they make up an answer just so that I shut up about an issue in their game?
Isnt that what the forums and especially the bug report section is about? After all these years, this just hurts.

If we said we legitimately forgot and thought there wasn't supposed to be a trap normally would you hook us?
(:
1 -
Accountability would be nice but its probably easier to just pretend the conversation isnt here so.
-1 -
they definitely didn't lie to you. The intention was made to not have it there by design HOWEVER with the feedback that players liked this, it was re-instated.
-12 -
So the original way it worked was never intended? Her having the trap in her hand in the lobby? (Before it was removed ofc) seems like a weird bug to have, being holding your power in the lobby on release. Then removing it. Then reinstating it i can get the confusion on it.
10 -
Why was it removed? Im speaking for the entire Pig - crew: would really like to know.
Also, why then is it labelled as a BUG FIX???
15 -
If they want to tell me, that her having that trap in her hand in the first place was never intended to be that way, then nope. Im not buying that at all.
Why is her hand shaped like shes holding something then? Why was it always molded to look like this?

I never said anything about the original intention. I am addressing your comment about what the moderator said to you and I explained that the intention to not have it there was a decision made, not a bug. However with the feedback it was re-assessed and then given the way it was implemented back, was done as a bug fix - I can understand that part being confusing.
-2 -
Its not confusing, its frustrating. It feels like being lied to.
I have to ask again. Why was it removed in the first place?
15 -
I think we are getting gaslit more. Why can’t they just admit that they realized she should have been holding it and didn’t think this was a top priority to fix. I would be more satisfied with that answer.
12 -
Then the problem is the wording. If it wasn't a bug for it to not appear and was instead intended, you didn't "fix an issue" you reinstated an element that had been intentionally removed. Just saying "Reinstated RBT to Pig's in-lobby visuals" would have been better. It's just a semantics issue but that does indeed cause confusion. You could have spun it as fan service instead, for a more positive reaction.

it was a design decision, probably something to do with the animation
-2 -
that’s because it was a bug and now that they are being called out by someone who kept reporting it in the past, it’s now “bringing back a fan favorite feature”
2 -
because then I'd be just making up a story instead of telling you all the truth!
-1 -
I also think this is compounded by the patch where it was removed they probably didnt say anything either. (It would be interesting to look back and check)
2 -
You mean the animation that she had for the last couple of years? That it looked like she was holding something but didnt? There was no animation change in the killer lobby. Are you refering to the start up screen?
It looked awful. Her hand wasnt adjusted.

On the topic of bugs there has been a bug for Claire Redfields hand on Betahub for several patches now which has went un noticed despite having video proof and constant updates about it.
Her finger is crooked in game has been since like late last year. Hopefully it can get fixed coz other rigging/animation related bugs have been fixed that were reported later than that one, but Claire's gone under the radar for several patches now.2 -
This pretty much yes. It being removed made no sense.
The response i got from the moderator made no sense. Her hand looking like that for years made no sense and the patch notes also make no sense.
Its a model change. Not a bug fix.
Saying that its a bug fix instead of a model change is the problem here. We fought for years just to get told that its working as intended. (The broken animation is working as intended. Yes bhvr… makes sense).
Now its said that its a bug. This isnt adding up with what we got told. It feels like we got lied to in order to shut up.

I'm sorry, I'm missing something here @radiantHero23 - it ws removed by intention, you were told it was a design decision. The Community team aware that players including yourself were not happy about that, gave the feedback that players wanted the helmet back. Now it's back, it's a problem? Yes it's done as a bug fix on behalf of our QA, and I've acknowledged that this makes it confusing. But really can't figure out quite what the complaint is here.
-3 -
huh, the traps back. that's a happy Lil W for the pig players.

I think the confusion was if it was removed by design intention she still kinda operated like she had it? The hand clenched around a invisible handle or smthn. The animation was exactly the same as before it was removed. Just the BT was absent ofc. So its one of those things that was fine how it was but the decision came anyway. Glad to have it back but the no transparency on when it was removed being a design choice until the moderator responded like years later it was intended. Now its back. Its a ringer. But good to see it.
6 -
I never said its a problem. The problem was never giving a reason for why it was removed, then not adjusting the animation of her hand, then telling us that its intended to look that way and not a bug (to make us shut up about it, literally) and finally to add it back as a bug fix. Thats the problem. Not trying to be rude here, but I dont know why thats hard to understand.
