Has anyone heard of 2v8 getting a rework with how buggy it is this season?
Game force closing all the way to the PC main desktop, Lobby completely breaking when someone leaves a few seconds before the start of a match, leaving a 40+ min killer wait time (because it's not actually 29 mins), just to lose your entire spot in queue because the lobby is so broken you have to manually force close the game, it's creating an even more toxic gaming dynamic where tunnelling and tea bagging appear to be at an all-time high. Survivor or Killer main, no one enjoys that being the dynamic of an entire match.

no, they usually don’t announce such bug fixes or reworks this far ahead anyways and especially when its currently still going. For actually major server outages/problems that affect many Players they may offer some bloodpoints…
Also, teabagging and tunneling are always at an all time high according to some people. And its been made clear these are meant to stay and are not entirely considered toxic..

Hmm pretty sure I have seen more than a few updates announced for bug fixes, especially when an event is ongoing, you know like kill switching characters for distorted camera angles, and global crashes. That's a hurting to following/customers.
I'd love to see where it was made clear that tunnelling and tea bagging are not considered toxic and are meant to stay. Please and thank you. Other than seeing a killer being created specifically to penalize tea bagging and emotes, I would REALLY like to see your resources. As far as my experience within the fog, and I have been playing since the game first game out, I will reiterate, the games dynamic is at its most broken, as a consumer who treats DBD more or less as a life choice, I want to hear promises of change. Dynamic change.
I appreciate your response to my question, as well as looking forward to any and all knowledge or debates that may come from my boldly stated opinions.

announcing bug fixes for Future updates that are weeks ahead and announcing killswitches which are then also brought live immediatley are two different things though. So no, i do not remember them actually stating something is broken in an ongoing Event without actually providing a solution eg a killswitch or a bugfix bugfix patch (the latter was just done with the crouching speed btw)
I cant provide a source that BHVR isnt considering tunneling and tea bagging toxic. Though it also doesnt actually matter if its deemed toxic or not. But the general ‘Features’ have been in-Game since the beginning, and they are directly deemed to not be reportable/bannable (see game rules). There have been attempts to make tunneling less appealing/effective and has been discussed by BHVR but never have they stated its something they wish to remove - which also just isnt possible otherwise a recently unhooked survivor would be invulnerable. Besides, ‘tunneling’ is also not even a properly defined term. Maybe someone else can provide you with a more satisfying answer..
I want to hear promises of change. Dynamic change.that I can relate to. But i don’t think there is am official Statement from BHVR out there and you cant expect a direct answer from BHVR here - at least from my experience. But you can of course try. Just remember that you are not the only member of the DbD community. And there are plenty of players/paying customers that will defend and fight for their tunneling and teabagging. And to some degree the basic functionalities are necessary.

Weeks in advance, that why I originally posted my question here. I am not so keen on staying up to date. With anything, I prefer an element of surprise (;
But this season… Bruh.. I am a survivor main but decided to pick up killer this 2v8 for quests/tomes, and achievements. Not to mention I want to create a more well-rounded mindset and opinion of this game I am inadvertently dedicating my life too lol.
Completely understand that they are used for functionality purposes for game strategy, but once again the misuse of the strategies needs to be revisited. Although "tea-bagging" and "tunnelling" are not considered a reportable or 'bannable' offense, it can still be categorized as Harassment / griefing / as well as targeted abuse. I do want to out myself in saying I too have 'tunneled' as well as 'tea-bagged', and yes for the purpose in boasting. I do believe that in some ways it creates a more competitive, and fun gaming field. However, BHVR Intentionally not stepping in until an issue escalates though? Can't help but starting to think BHVR really doesn't care about their DBD community as much as all of the players/playing customers do.
In this day and age? Hurt the wrong persons feelings, the right way… (an entire franchise is sued because someone dumped THEIR OWN hot coffee on themselves?)
To say I'd be sad to see DBD discontinued would be a huge understatement. And for it to potentially be for something so easily moderated, if a little more forethought was put towards THE GAMES DYNAMIC.
I am fully aware this is a community forum, but I prefer to speak with other fog members on this specific matter. Seeing how BHVR has yet to figure out this themselves. Despite the number of players and/or paying customers support them.

Like are you really thinking that a game can get sued because someone t-bags or tunnels in it? Like that kind of case would not go anywhere.

This is such an odd reference. "In this day and age" this incident was over 30 years ago. Have you ever looked into it? It's not as simple as it seems in all the jokes about it, nor did she get much money.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure BHVR wants the toxicity. Competiveness fueled by hatred keeps people playing. If they cared, they could just remove the chat. That would be the easiest first step that requires no game changes.

That just proves that 30 years ago you can get sued over something dumb its 2026 you can get sued for anything now doesn't matter "How much she got" still point is she got sued so someone not liking the game and they feel like they got called a name that was really inappropriate that will be on the game devs for not censoring it and bam EASY MONEY right there. game shut down. let's be honest here they don't care about the game there in it for the money they look at what brings in more killer or survivor then they do what make that category but for people. they can't just remove chat that doesn't stop the comments on your steam profile or the unwanted friend requests or on console don't stop people from messaging you and saying stupid crap. but anyways survivor mains don't matter right? XD

Hmm, maybe my point may have come across different or more literal than I originally intended, so I want to clarify a bit.
I was using metaphors and extremes on purpose. We live in a world where interactions online tend to sway to extremes very quickly. I reflected that through exaggeration to emphasize my concern for the overall direction of the game and community dynamic.
Dead by Daylight is one of my few real escapes. My post came from a place of concern, not outrage for the sake of outrage. When I talk about toxicity, tunneling, teabagging, crashes, queue instability, and lobby issues all stacking together, I’m talking about how the overall experience feels increasingly exhausting instead of enjoyable.
I understand competitive mechanics and player freedom are part of the game. I’m not asking for every frustrating strategy to disappear. I’m saying the current atmosphere feels more hostile than it used to, especially when technical issues are already testing player patience what feels like far more frequently than it ever has in the past.
The “hot coffee” comparison was not meant to be a literal legal argument. It was an exaggerated metaphor about how sensitive and reactive modern context can become compared to years ago. Whether people agree with that comparison or not, the core point was simply that communities and companies BOTH benefit when concerns are addressed before frustration escalates.
At the end of the day, I care about this game a lot. That’s my only intent to express.

Can't believe I'm saying this in 2026 but the internet has always been a cesspool of pointless conflict. If saying mean words got people sued then everyone would be getting sued constantly. You say something offensive at work, you get fired. You don't get sued. Say something nasty on the internet and you might get banned. Again, you don't get sued.
They can just remove chat, if they wanted. And if they were concerned, they would. Consoles are super strict. They will permaban you from all online gaming for hostility. You can make your profile on any platform private. You can also play anon or make comments friends only. This is called agency. I'd also imagine the terms and conditions we all agree to but never read when we engage with literally anything address this stuff.
No idea what that last remark is supposed to mean.
