BHVR, it's been almost 10 years. I wonder when.....
You will introduce a proper healing animation. The hugging and hovering hands is nice and fun, but at this point, how about making something a little bit more ''realistic'' maybe?
Also, how about facial animation for killers or survivors who speak and have voice lines? It's hard to believe this is a task that is undoable for a team that can make such beautiful skins or other animations?
Thanks. Just curious,.

healing Animation may be a bit too complicated as it has to work from any angle and its not like it will make any more logical sense as to have one healing animation for chainsaw, bear trap and Hammer wounds..
do you have something specific in mind here? Or any games you think did it better?

They could be using band aids, patches, wraps or w/e first aid stuff from their pockets or something. There are plenty of options that would make more sense than what we currently have.

Honestly I hope they never do adjust the healing animation, it's kinda iconic in my eyes. I think it's okay for parts of the game to still look a little dated, it adds to the charm.

okay, gotta admit, survs just slapping band-aids on each other after getting mowed down by a chainsaw would be… something to see!

Yeah survivors just need new animations in general, even with the bug fixes arms and fingers break and faces too LOL

what 10 years of constant fear, dread and torture does to a soul

It makes about as much sense as generator repair animations lol

I hear what you mean, but at this point in DBD's life cycle, I feel the ambiguity of "Healing Hands" works because there's such a wide array of types of damage that Survivors can endure.
From Sadako's psychic damage to fire burns from Dracula, there's a whole array of atypical types of damage that would not make sense to be healed by wraps or bandages, and the game risks having immersion broken if they were to be repaired with a specific remedy.
"Healing Hands" keeps a blank spot of ambiguity that lets your brain fill in the gaps with your imagination, which I think is a good "one size fits all" solution without creating too much work for dozens of individual animations for each injury type

i think it should be kept. the idea of a survivor giving me a massage during a stressful trial keeps me grounded. ☺️

I assumed they were going to do this way back when they added a unique Vaccination animation to Nemesis. It just made sense to me that they'd go back and touch up healing at the same time, although it never happened.

In the end its Entity's realm it can decide what heals and what does not.
