Should we be worried?

At 0:57 the Devs said that they are aiming to make it so that we can really feel the emotions the survivors are living and the pain they're going through. Exemplifying that when hooking a survivor.

I don't know about you guys, but I don't know if I wanna feel that. If the Devs are starting to aim so much for immersion that we are going to start actually feeling the pain of being hooked, it might just be over for us.

I don't know if this is part of a bigger development, where the Developers are trying to increase our immersion so much, until they reach a point where things have become so real that they will be able to hook us in real life, without us even noticing at first, because being hooked in-game already felt like being hooked IRL.

That is the part that worries me. It starts of with the intention to "Increase the immersion". They want to "just" make it feel more real. They just want us to "feel the suffering". Realer and even more real after that. Until you can no longer discern between you being hooked in-game and being hooked in real life, and that's when they get you.

This might have been the intention of beHaviour the video-game company all along. The devs even admitted they didn't even have much game-design experience when they first began. Because that was never the point. They weren't experts in developing games. They were experts in sacrificing humans. And they had plans to hook humanity all at once and sacrifice us to the entity. They wanted us to believe this was just part of the lore of their video game, while their real plan has been out in the open all along, and we have seen it unfold in thousands of matches. And by the time they actually put us on the hook in real life, we've already become so accustomed to it that we won't even attempt to wiggle off

I don't think the innocent playerbase of DBD is ready for what's coming. But hey, that's just a theory. What do you guys think?
