Majorly Disruptive Cheat Features (& how to fix them)
I'm about tired of bhvr pretending that a generic anti cheat system (such as EAC, or other anti cheats as of recently) is a sufficient solution to the cheating problem (or asking players to update their e.g. peripheral software, surely that will prevent cheaters from exploiting vulnerable drivers to load their own).
All anti cheats can be bypassed and there isnt a cure all, so patching the most disruptive cheat features is the best move.
The following exploits are things that arent checked for or taking care of by EAC or any anti cheat provider in any way as their supposed job, amongst other things, is to make sure that nothing gets injected / hooked / etc in the game, not preventing the server from trusting clients too much.
Infinite Head-Ons:
Solution → Handle exhaustion and actions such as Head On on the server
Preventing Hooks:
Solution → Simply dont care about what Megs client wants / does
Remote Actions:
&
Solution → "Should Meg even be able to perform this action? Is she nearby the wanted action? Is she performing a different action at this time?" - Server
Teleporting:
Solution → Same as above + movement should use client side prediction combined with server side validation and correction as opposed to accepting any player position set by a client, same as most competitive shooters.
All of this is like really basic stuff and its interesting that I have to even point it out, although I understand this isn't a small patch, but putting too much trust in the client is the reason this specific class of cheat will continue to appear, regardless of anti cheat.

They are not pretending anything they have stated that new anti-cheat things are coming. They literally talked about it recently in live stream.

that doesn’t really address my point. new anti cheat measures are welcome, but none of the exploits shown above can be fixed by simply updating eac, as they've done in the past.

and how do you know they are just updating it? They could be adding those kind of checks you are asking too but of course they are not going to go on detail on it or cheaters will stop using them.

it'd be terrific if they did add that but i somehow doubt it.
"they are not going to go on detail on it or cheaters will stop using them."
properly implemented server side checks cant be bypassed simply because cheaters know they exist, thats kinda the whole point of them.

Yeah but it can't detect something that they are no longer using and that was my point.

i’m not talking about detecting the cheat; i’m saying the server should simply refuse impossible actions, regardless of what cheat is being used or whether its checks are publicly known.

Just to make things clear: you can never prevent cheating.

yes

I barely face any cheaters, they are not that common and they do get banned don't act like they do nothing

Hopefully next year when they overhaul DBD's coding (hopefully it's a full tear down and rewrite) cheat detection will be much more robust. I personally wouldn't expect anything significant before then.

Mybe you but others have probably different experience.
You mentioned they get banned but these are all in cheaters that are easy to spot, this game has bigger problem with subtle ones that are cheating but they do it so its hardcore to spot it and usualy no one spots their cheats mid chaos of the match these are problem or they are subtle and play with friends making them almost unbaneable because its all upon the killer to spot them but I doubt they every killer spots it and even then its takes longer for them to get banned when only one player reports them in few matches.
I have seen like 5-6 cheaters mainly in 2v8 like 4 of them were playing billy with no turn radius on chainsaw (easy to spot and obvious) and few survivors teleporting so 2v8 lasted like 6 days thats not small number tbh and I did to all ingame report and got massage actions has been taken only two times so 4 of them slip and are probably still out maybe.

It varies per region. I’m in EU, and I’ve seen quite a few of them. Some subtle, some… not so much.

As I've correctly predicted, per their latest anti cheat trial announcement, all that bhvr is going to do in the foreseeable future is merely change anti-cheat provider.
Sure, this change will detect a few cheat providers and reduce cheater encounters for a few weeks but it wont solve anything in the long run, since cheat devs can create new bypasses and continue to cheat in the same way as they are right now, if the game remains as exploitable as it is.
I’m not trying to frame this issue as something that can be completely fixed or always prevented, but addressing the exploits mentioned above by making the relevant gameplay systems fully server authoritative is the absolute bare minimum.

Oh you've gone against more than you think. Its very easy to be subtle.
