Whos idea was it to bring back old matchmaking?

Why do you think they would revert it?

Before they reverted it I was getting hour long queue times so I'm content with this

Idk, but i like them.

It was like 2 mins for me .

"I don't care if other people add issue with the new matchmaking because it improved MY gaming experience ME ME ME ME ME"

Rank difference? Who cares rank means nothing. I would rather get quick games with different rank players than see people searching for lobby over and over again due to high ping. New matchmaking would provide you a good ping in first try enough said.

Lol if you were having issues old matchmaking is not gonna solve it

People where literaly having hour long queue with the new matchmaking but because they bring back the old matchmaking you have to wait 3 WHOLE MORE MINUTE
Poor little thing.
2 -
YES IT SOLVED IT BECAUSE THEY ADD NORMAL QUEUE TIME BEFORE THE NEW MATCHMAKING AND AFTER THE NEW MATCHMAKING WAS REVERTED

THE ISSUE WAS THE NEW MATCHMAKING

@Slayer Well... Yeah.. but to the Devs it means it wasn't working the way they wanted. It doesn't matter if you liked it. It may not have solved what the Devs were looking for at this time. However.. we only really know what the Devs communicate to us.

hour long queues really? lol maybe because nobody was playing?
Now you get people with bad ping into a lobby pretty much too often and you have to see those people leaving and getting back over and over again which results in having to wait forever. I wont even mention that 3 out of 5 times of you trying to find a game you get lobby with high ping yourself.

Everyone asked for it. The new matchmaking was hot garbage. Queue times were insane for killer and survivor.

Didn't this already happen weeks ago? End of March to be specific? Or did today change something yet again, and I missed the memo.

Im talking about that yeah. If thread was made recently it doesnt mean matchmaking changes happened today or yesterday im talking about latest changes that happened around end of march

Yeah I was initially hating that first round of matchmaking because I was getting only japan matches with super high ping but after they did the pooled one it was actually pretty good for me with fast match times and decent ping but then they reverted that within days, if they fixed the matchmaking/ranks with that I think the pooled system was much better. It probably differs with rank and region though, I guess they're reverting until they can find a solution that fits the many, I don't really mind too much, 5-10 minutes is still better than the 30 mins I had prior to the plague/MM updates...

New matchmaking that was implemented first time was garbage but not the second one. The second time devs implemented it it was perfect. You wait 2-4 mins you end up in a lobby with everyone having perfect or good ping no reason for someone to leave everyone get ready you get into game done. Now its a mess 90% times. You need to be lucky for someone to not leave a lobby once you end up in it to find lobby with decent ping

Rank was the only issue but since rank means nothing it was fine. Long time queues was simply bullshit. If you have long time waiting it SIMPLY means few people only playing now in your region try some other time. But now after garbage matchmaking was brought back people that were having longer queues wont even benefit from it cause they will get people with high ping from all over the world and many will leave in anyway causing infinite queues the only people that would stay would be casual players.

@Slayer Well, what Patricia said they're basically doing is sending it live, seeing where it doesn't work well overall, pulling it back, making adjustments, rinse and repeat.
Right now, they are supposedly making many adjustments to it. When that's done, it'll go live again for more testing and analysis throughout the entire player base. Will it stay live at the point or revert again for more adjustments? We do not know.
Welcome to Dead by Daylight: Matchmaking Roulette Edition.

#########!? Are you complaing because you have to wait ONLY 5-10 minutes to fill a lobby? On day time i have to wait AT LEAST 40 minutes, at moment i can only expect to fill lobbies in less than 15 minutes if im playing very late at night.

@Bug_Reporter , i covered it up earlier.

The first implementation of the new matchmaking was the best for me. Ping times were no worse (PS4, Europe). When they made it regional the queue times suffered immensely.
I'd love to know what the stats are on this. Who exactly was getting these terrible pings? PC owners? US players? Did other European console owners have a positive experience with the "original new matchmaking"?

PC player, US, and I didn't always get awful ping but I generally had to dodge some to quite a few lobbies before I'd get a lobby with yellow or green ping. It was especially annoying the few times I played killed, because if I got a surv with red ping who wouldn't dodge I'd have to wait X amount of minutes to not only get a lobby again but wait for it to fill and hope everyone had decent ping.

Ppl dont realise that if they didint change youll get at least 1h or more to wait so now i get like 2 minutes to wait i dont ppl cry about this new thing theyre doing good right now

I have queue times of just a few seconds as a Killer in red ranks. I often get players of lower ranks though, SWFs around Rank 4-7 mostly.

Recently, there wasnt any change in the last patch.

Obviously when they made it regional it was the best cause you would always get decent ping. I was never getting bad ping. Never . And im sure that was the case for everyone else cause rarely i saw someone dodging lobby. I even made a thread where i was saying how good new matchmaking is. And then they reverted it within days.
0 -
Same for me but they dodge because of ping . Of course sometimes i get lucky and get people with decent ping in first try but thats rare.

The new matchmaking system was better for some, but worse for others. There were also edge cases where ranks would be mismatched and where the pings would be too high. We've taken the new system offline while we tweak it and we'll be bringing it back once we've ironed it out.
