Easy Killers are the problem

WAIT WAIT WAIT! Read before posting this isn't a "Killer OP" thread.

So basically here are the games top 5 Killers according to most people (not in a particular order):

Nurse

Billy

Spirit

Hag

Huntress

Between these 5. Nurse and Huntress require a TON of mechanical precision, Hag and Billy require a lot of planning and map awareness, and Spirit requires you to outwit the survivor you are chasing basically every time you need to hit them. All of these Killers of course need to do more than what I just listed, but that's just the HARDEST aspect of them so I'm not saying Billy can't mindgame or that Spirit doesn't require precision, he can and she does. But these Killers require a lot of skill and are great... however...

What about for example Doctor? His power takes skill to counter sure, but to use? Switch to treatment, walk around, shock people in a chase to build up madness and then hit them with M1, very simple if you know his basics. What about Wraith? Use invisibility to find someone, uncloak, chase them as an M1 Killer. Myers? M1 Killer with a super mode, not hard once you know the basics. Freddy? Tag someone and now you don't even have to bother tracking someone. Legion? .... Trapper? Kinda like hag so you have some planning to do sure, but you aren't placing many traps so most of the game you are an M1 Killer, and your traps capitalization is automatic.

You get my point, the low tier Killers are also while not braindead per say, relatively easy to just pick up and play. To some extent that's fine, but as is this is a bit too extreme. Why?

Survivors had a 30% escape rate last time I checked (admittedly not recent statistics so take that with a grain of salt). However we all know that a good survivor can escape basically every time except against the top 3-5ish Killers. Why is this? Skill gap:

Low Skill Survivors vs Low Skill Killer = Killer win probably

High Skill Survivors vs High Skill Killer = Survivor win probably

This is why for example I always prefer to add emergent properties when I propose changes to things or want scratchmarks to be nerfed. Survivors are OP because Killers are easy, if Killers were not as easy to get the most out of then we could make them stronger at their best like with Spirit or Nurse. Since they aren't however, Killers will look balanced or even OP even when they are in reality far weaker than Survivors.

Yeah, the lower skill cap a killer has the weaker they're gonna be. Legion, Doc and Leatherface have next to no skill required. Not to say mains of them are bad, just that there's a limit to what you can do with them.

You can do more with Wraith than what you listed, but it's not enough obviously.

@Boss it's an abbreviated list. I'm not a Wraith main and this isn't a Wraith guide, I'm sure there are some advanced tactics for all the Killers I listed. It's just not even close to the level of the top tiers.

Ehm....billy is braindead and hag and spirits are not that hard to use.

So killers have a 70% kill rate and still ######### survivors are over powered?

Want to talk about the skill required to play survivors? All it takes is experience to estimate when to move and where, but you have just one gameplay to learn.

This discussion would of course be nonsense like I deem this thread since you are suggesting that killers should be cumbersome to play, ignoring everything else of the match as if we were talking about a one versus one match where one side should be hard to play but strong and the other side should be normal to play but weak.

I literally just explained that. The 30% is not evenly distributed because the players that don't know how to exploit Killer weaknesses will almost always lose while the Survivors that CAN exploit Killer weaknesses will almost always win.

The 30/70 split is the result of most Survivors not being good.
