Will SWF ever be balanced?

Again, yeah

Legion is no fun to play against => reworked

SWF is no fun to play against => nothing changed ever

What is the point? No fun playing?

    Just give swf penalties or incentivize the killers to get bullied with more blood points. 2x bp for 4 man swf.

    If everything was balanced around SWF, then yes, it would be balanced. However, due to the simple existence of Solo and SWF in the same matchmaking is the impossibility. It will never be balanced. The developers are attempting to balance the game around both SWF and Solo which makes it impossible for either side to be balanced.

    The only reason why there are two sides, Killer and Survivor is due to this. If the game was balanced around Solo, SWF and survivors in general would be far too powerful. If the game was balanced around SWF killers would be way too strong and Solo would get screwed.

    So, because the developers are trying to balance the game around both at once, there will always be an imbalance which allows for the rise of biased changes. Hence the fact that some updates are killer sided, or survivor sided.

    The game now is completely survivor sided, you can understand that just from the fact that they basically are not afraid to face a killer and of a killer at all and feel free to bully them as they feel completely safe with all that MoMs, infinites and millions of (double)pallets. I’m sorry if I understand the concept of the game wrong, but I thought that survivors should be terrified to face a killer. The game should not be survivor sided. But every time a killer gets buffed they come to cry, aand again the bullying simulator.

    I don’t like toxic playing, but almost every time I just want to play I meet SWFs or just toxic sweeties, and then I only want to play Legion or noed to feel relieved.

    And again: I really like this game, but why do I have to play against SWFs?

    @justastranger I dont know but it just sound as a crybaby, most swf team SUCK and aren't coordinated.

    Impossible without making Solo unplayable.

    I think they should split the lobbys for SWF and Solo and give killers advantages against SWF (only against SWF) like slower gens, more perk slots, perks with higher ranks, better stats etc.

    SOLO is BS af and SWF is OP af

    but you cant balance killer and maps more because the solo experience is awful. they said they will do so but nothing has changed. no "being chased" icon, no totem counter in the HUID, no built in kindred nothing

    it's not just as killer hardcore playing against a tryhard swf, it's even more worse playing solo.

    im tired and if they wont fix this issue, i will quit this game soon. And im playing it since the release, 5k hours and im following any news since this game is out. dont get me wrong i really love this game and personally i like the developers, theyre humans like us. and they gave everything and did many things already.

    And i bought every dlc, and soooo many cosmetics and some merch to support them. But im really really tired of those 2 extremely different survivor modes. And i will not play swf to enjoy the game, enjoy it so much that the killer cant. And i feel with the killer (when he did so good but couldnt kill anyone) and that sucks

    frustrating

    The percentage of pure 4 man SWF that "ruin" this game is not very high. And if there was no SWF mode in this game, it would die. Because running solo survivor is one of the worst parts of this game right now.

    Nah fam, the devs don't see it as a concern. They can't even bring a lousy indicator of who is SWF in the lobby so killers can better prepare themselves.

    "oh but killers will doge" as if they aren't doing it now anyway? They can also increase the lobby doge cooldown for how many times you do it in a row anyway. Work arounds shouldn't be an issue.

    But in short: NO

    The more I think about it, the more I don't think SWF is the problem. It's possible for a group of 4 random survivors to perform their tasks with the efficiency of a swf group.

    Their lack of objectives is the problem, not SWF or voice coms.

    If survivors had more to do or their current task was slightly more complex then the killer would be allowed more time to interact with survivors.

    Right now, it's possible (although not common) for 3 gens to be finished by the time the killer hooks a survivor leaving them very little time to recover.

    I hope something changes someday...

    I doubt it. There are 4 survivors for every 1 killer. It's not just SWF that need to be balanced. I think it's the maps more than anything. The game at high rank comes down to whether or not survivors know where pallets are and take optimal pathing. If they do, you'll never clear enough pallets in time to make a difference on most killers. The maps are designed around survivors being inefficient with pallets at low ranks, which turns high rank play into a nightmare for low tier killers.

    @SpaceCoconut I agree, survivors have one objective and that's gens. If they're able to complete their task efficiently then there's nothing stopping them if the killer is chasing someone else. We need a second objective, one that's mandatory and cant simply be completed in a few seconds

    @SpaceCoconut honestly the 4-man efficient solo team is much scarier than the swf death squad. Those solos will let people die to gen rush. I think with the new end-game collapse people might actually start thinking of totems as a second objective.

    Just dodge SWFs. They want to play unfair and with an advantage so I don't feel bad forcing them to remake a lobby.

    I don't see the problem with swf. Teams in multiplayer games are always more efficient than solo player. And since DBD is an asymmetrical game, ok, that's unfortunate for the killer, who has to be solo.

    If Im playing solo, Im keep focus to do the gens and don't run to every hooked surv to rescue him, because there are nearly always someone, who runs instantly to the hooked surv. And that is the problem, because if there always two survs whose runs to the hooked surv, than the gens takes to long which is the only main goal in the match.

    And there is already one mechanic to cleans this problem and that is the perk "Kindred"

    • Everyone sees who is obsession (and when they're being chased) to reduce gap between SWF and solo
    • Can't see perks/addons/offerings on tally screen till end game to reduce gap between SWF and solo

    These may not be the changes you wanted to help balance SWF, but these are changes that happened to deal with SWF vs. solo.

    If you were to say "not enough has changed" then fair enough. Saying "nothing has changed" is incorrect.

    Yeah but maybe they just want to play with their friends? I rarely do swf to win, I just wanna play the game with friends.

    If the solution is a perk then it will be a bad solution every time. Since a SWF group can get the information from the perk AND have another perk.

    Each slot used for an ally tracking perk is a slot that could be used for a chasing perk or other non-information perk.
