Franklin’s should be buffed to damage items by 11/22/33% per hit.
Truly make it an anti item perk that puts the hurt on survivors who rely on them, gen rush, or think it’s funny to bring a 4 person pink and purple combo.

Let's do more buffs like tanatho

no thanks, Franklin's is annoying enough lol

I like this.
Also they need to fix thana, they really nerfed it. It's only buffed once all 4 survivors are hit, such crap. Return the higher numbers and remove the healing debuff on thana.

Potentially losing an item to Frank's already makes it strong enough an item denial perk. Instead buff the under used perk overwhelming presence to inflict it's debuffs similar to leader (still effects you for 10-15s out of the killers terror radius) while increasing the rate it consumes items by at least 25%. You already have essentially half an item with overwhelming presence. Make it actually effect survivors more often/ for longer and there's your item denial in a nutshell.

Do it.

I like this. This could also come with a key nerf that makes it so the key needs to have a certain number of charges in order to open the Hatch. Smack the Survivor with the key enough times, and you don't have to worry about a surprise Hatch escape in the middle of your game at all.

I would support this if Franklin's couldn't destroy the item but just bring it down to 1% so it becomes unusable for the match but not completely lost.
6 -
You don't think you guys are getting a little carried away with this? The item is already dropped and cannot be instantly re-acquired (assuming the killer is still standing there trying to chase you). You might never have a chance to search or even find it again. Plus, another hit will cause the same problem and reduce it's charge.
If you want to make it stronger, you already have a perk that consumes them super-fast. Watch how fast it works in a video sometime, it makes a big difference. This is not the kind of perk that needs a buff.
7 -
Nope. It’s not THAT hard to remember where you dropped your item and really careful survivors can preemptively drop an item to deny Franklin’s before a chase. If survivors want to play dirty, killers should at least be able to give them a hard time if they have Franklin’s instead of mildly inconveniencing them. As it stands right now, swf even bait Franklin’s with full load outs because they don’t see it as a threat.
Killers have only 4 perks to cover a myriad of gameplay hurdles, and in its current state, Overwhelming Presence is not worth the second slot.
@PolarBear I agree it should not break after 1%, hence the max 33% equaling to a total of 99% damage. That would be absolutely fair in my opinion.

It's already a good perk, it doesn't need a buff. 33% is absurd.
1 -
No it’s really not. 33% means the killer needs to hit you 3 times for your item to be worthless for the match.
Franklin’s is a bit of an inconvenience swf don’t really respect. Upping it’s damage would be a buff that will truly help negate items, and it might even encourage killers to face off swfs with 4 boxes.
Not to mention this would be an indirect nerf to MoM builds without even touching that monstrosity.

To play Devil's Advocate, it wouldn't really change much. Say the Survivor brings a yellow medkit. It has 16 charges. If you hit that Survivor, the 10% of the charges it loses drops it down to 14.4 charges, which is not enough for a heal. You basically rendered the item pretty much pointless with that one attack, they'll need to find someone else to finish the heal anyway.
Buffing the durability loss would also seem great on paper, but there's a very simple counter to it: Just drop your item. Once you know the Killer is using it, all you have to do to completely avoid the durability loss is drop it before you get chased. You're not going to use a map, key, or toolbox in a chase anyway, even flashlights would only provide a tiny benefit against a decent killer. This way not only will your item not lose durability, but you'll also know exactly where it is when you go get it later.

This doesn't make much sense. It's pointless against gen rush and only makes the perk more annoying
1 -
@Peanits Dude, hardly anyone brings medkits. Besides, if 10% already makes the medkit useless, buffing it won't really change much in regards to how it interacts with medkits, will it? Sorry, but that example is irrelevant.
Dropping it in a chase is also a counter right now, so, again, this wouldn't change anything.

It seems as though he sees from the survivor side ALL THE TIME LOL. I mean I don't mind Franklin's the way that it is now, but I'm not arguing with a buff lol. I use it on Freddy.

Good idea. I support this.

Assuming that survivor doesn’t have self care, botany, or charge/efficiency add ons - but that’s usually not the case.
Also yes, yellow kits might be more common but let’s be honest - people who bring medkits (especially in a multi item lobby or swf) tend to bring yellow or better (on top of add ons.) Franklin’s isn’t as damaging as it could be to be effective though.
This change would also directly affect maps, boxes, lights, and possibly keys although tbh I don’t know how they work in regards to charges. And in my opinion, I think those items - especially multiples - is what gives killers headaches more than medkits.

Franklin's Demise is already a good perk. It doesn't need buffed.

I heavily agree with the buff. I love using Franklins on Santa clown for my Bad Santa build and the amount of DC is amazing. I love watching them bring a key or 4 toolboxes and them despair at losing it mid chase....mmm...please buff Franklins so it destroys items faster.

Would using this perk make me a 'bad sport' this weekend if we're supposed to be playing all loose?
In a way it could be bp friendly as the game could go on slightly longer.

That buff idea is a bit extreme. They did nerf it last year. Special attacks no longer make you drop the item, just basic/main attacks do lmao.
It's a good perk. It is average, but usually can't be brought in over 10-15 other perks.
A 5/10/15 would be a nice small buff. I don't see why they don't do this at all.

I mean it wouldn't really have an impact on me as I rarely bring items, but I feel the primary point of Franklin's is to make them drop it and potentially go out of their way to pick it up again as opposed to actually draining/breaking the item. That's Overwhelming Presence's thing, even though that is currently a very underwhelming perk that could use some love for sure.
