Pig Mini-Buff?
I rarely play her, so yes, i may not know what i'm talking about.
But i just saw a video of a Survivor disconnecting right after they got a Reverse Bear Trap put on.
Wouldn't it be good for her to regain the lost RBT?

I mean, I love playing pig, so I'd be in favor of it.

Yes, definitely she should be able to regain her traps.
In a recent trial my head popped in the middle of the Temple of Purgation. While the blood and empty trap provided for a dramatic scene, it would be great if the Pig could collect the trap. It would add for some more (fun) game time. 🐷
Has anyone else suggested this? Gotta get the devs attention on this since she's in testing. 🐽

I'm here quite often, and i haven't seen one.
Of course i could've missed it, but if it is something desired by enough people, it would've stayed up and i'd eventually see it.
Long story short, i bet i'm the first to suggest this on this forum.
Anyway, it wouldn't be an equal buff compared to the nerfs accompanied by the End Game Collapse update, but it'd still be good for her to have.

Hmm, also she could collect traps survivors managed to take off. Just find them near Jigsaw boxes and collect as Trapper does with traps. But, she should not see traps auras, or games with her will be too long.

I play pig and think unfair to 3 survivors though still not fair to lose your traps either. Think the buff need is for her to be changed back to her glorious amanda young days ♡
Think maybe a jigsaw box should be connected to survivor and shut down with dc. That way have less ground to cover with boxes.
But let endgame pig kill her single survivor and be amanda young. Forcing the trap death onto those want to punish. That is the true buff she needs.

can we pls stop with killer buffs ideas . game is already frustrating enuf for survivors

No killer buffs = only nurse in high rank
You should be happy, if low-mid tier killer get a buff.

I mean, isn't a Survivor disconnect bad for fellow Survivors (unless it's to give the last person the Hatch, but that's a whole different discussion)? Why make it just a little worse for them by reimbursing the Pig?

It's a bait, don't fall for it.
Yes, Pig should get at least one of her RBT if the survivor that had it on disconnected in the 2 minutes of the game imo.

Hence the questionmark in the title.
I wasn't sure if her getting such a miniscule buff would be...healthy to the now-crippled team.
I simply like making ideas to see what the general thoughts of others are on said ideas.
Most seem to like it though.

I don't. I want Pig to get buffs that aren't only applicable when a player DCs.
0 -
That's good, cause no one says it would be limited to this idea.
No reason she can't have both.
0 -
True. Let me rephrase that: I don't want a buff that is only applicable when a Survivor DCs. That's just rubbing salt in the wound for no reason.
0 -
Alright then.
I disagree, but i can see why you'd think that way.
0 -
Well, let me ask this: Why would a Pig mind that the trap was wasted when the Survivor side lost a whole teammate? That is already favored for the Pig.

When i play Pig and someone disconnects early with it on, i won't have that for the other 3.
Then they go and run around and take them off, and then i have none left while i could've made one of them run around once more.
A rare situation i'll admit (though it's been made more common recently thanks to the DC bug), but that's why it'd still be neat to have.
Them disconnecting is an advantage for her, but it doesn't put her herself in the better position necessarily.
You really maybe could make good use of 1 more RBT, and then it wouldn't be bad to actually have it.

I think that she should not depend on RNG.
Instead of seeing the pig being able to regain her RBTs, I rather want her RBTs to be a reliable time waster.

Like having 0% chance to remove it on your 1st box?

Would you be saying the same thing if the trap insta-snapped on that Survivor? Because that is effectively what it is. You are down a Trap, and they are down a Survivor.
0 -
No, cause in that case it's intended.
In the current state, it is not.
They were gonna DC anyway, so they wanna take your trap with them.
At least, it doesn't make sense to me that they'd think: "If she doesn't put it on, i'll stay, but if she does, i'm out."
They're still taking away something you were actually supposed to have after their disconnect.
0 -
Why does it matter if it was intended? The end result is still the same: You are down a trap and they are down a Survivor. The advantage would be the same.
0 -
It matters when all previous accidental and unintended changes have been taken out, positive changes or negative changes.
The results don't matter when the way it happens is not what they want.
Changes were previously either reverted or changed further to be what they first intended.

Was was first intended that is contradicted by a Survivor wearing an RBT disconnecting?
0 -
I'm not sure what you're asking there.

"Changes were previously either reverted or changed further to be what they first intended."
What was first intended by the RBTs, and why does a Survivor DCing while wearing an RBT mess that up?
0 -
Their intended purpose is to shift Survivors' focus to try and get it off, prolonging the game.
Only after they fail & take too long does the purpose become to kill.
It gets messed up when one of your base amount of chances to apply this time-waste is taken away by a disconnect.
It's not the intended way that an RBT gets used up right away unless it's the Exit Gate. (Currently.)

Yes I think that alone would help her a lot. Even if they get rid of the helmet at the second box 1st + 2nd box + travel time will be good for her, and this is the worst case scenario.
It won't make her an instant top tier killer but it is still an improvement.
The reason why a lot of pig mains use their helmets at the end of the trial is because her power is really unreliable.
I really hope they make the necessary changes but I am not sure tbh. Low rank survivors give bad killers easy kills and make the low and mid tier killers look viable. Look at the clown, he has the lowest kill rate but it is 50% which is considered as balanced.

But you still have more to use, and now you have one less Survivor to worry about, which would arguably make the time waste more effective in spite of having one less Trap to work with.

Given the fact that only 10.2% of PC players make it to rank 10 as Survivor, i'm not surprised he ended up with that number.
Sounds good for her overall.
Btw, they make it so they can escape with an inactive RBT, right?
So saving it up for after the Generators won't do anything anymore, right?
0 -
True.
And you do make good points.
But idk, i just don't see it as a bad thing for her to have.
Also, if a mod or dev or whatever were to suddenly swoop in and say it actually IS intended, then we're done here, i'm fine with that. 😋

Do not get me wrong. I really want some buffs for the Pig. I just don't think this is a good way to do it.
0 -
It's all good.
Frankly, it's already nice to have a discussion that DOESN'T turn into insults or odd reasonings. 😊

pig needs a buff absolutely, but wont get it.
Just like when they removed the docs ability to interupt vaults with his shock, they didn't bother increasing the range on it to make up for lost utility. They just let a weak killer get worse.
