Reward for being Rank 1 = sell any items you want back to the Bloodweb.
The "benefit" of getting to rank 1 is should be that you can sell your worthless brown offerings and add-ons back to the entity.
How many Rubber Gloves does one actually need?

I still think you should get a bloodpoint reward at every rank reset based on your rank

The thing about Rank Rewards (and this is from someone is is Pro-Rank Reward) is that people who play scummy and get to Rank 1 will get rewarded for that.
Most people (like myself) stay at Rank 7, 8, 9 and 10 because I like having relaxed games. Most games I end up letting everyone go. I'd like Rank Rewards, but people might do ANYTHING to get there (slug, camp, tunnel).
We need more theory-crafting on this subject.

I'd say prestiging a character 3 times would allow to sell that characters items.

This would be more of a progression change, and typically rank and progression are treated separately. Allowing only people at rank 1 to sell their unwanted items would make it way easier for them to progress since they have an additional source of bloodpoints, meanwhile newer players who arguably need that jump-start more don't get to take advantage of it. Selling back items at a reduced cost would be interesting, although tying it to rank might not be the best option.

@Peanits Let's imagine they'd introduce the ability to sell unwanted equipment in the next patch.
Now imagine people who never use Mist Offerings, or the "crippling, but grants extra BP" Add-ons for certain Killers.
I used to have about 3 stacks of Add-ons on Hillbilly, all over 250.
Now imagine someone who has been saving that up for over 3 years.
And now imagine hundreds of people having this as well.
Soooooo many Bloodwebs would be completed.
And from all the BP they earned by selling those, they completed so many Bloodwebs that they got A: More stuff that they want, and B: More stuff that they can sell again.

Sp freedom of players being able to sell the items, addons and offerings shouldnt be implemented into the game to make for a better gaming experience because the devs failed to implement this mechanic in the first place and because theres dedicated players from when the game was in beta?..... screw growth! and bettering the game! Let's keep the frustrating part of having to watch as the unwanted items and crap continue to grow...

Selling back items would be like...
"Giving offerings to the Entity in exchange for Blood Points."

With that logic grinding should be taken out of ranked completely. Cuz, why should a newbie start with 0 perks and put in Hundreds of hours to get decent perks to be competeable against others? Ranked should be like league mode: all perks and items available.
Then there would be a casual mode, where u have to unlock everything

@Peanits I really hope the devs consider letting us sell back unwanted items. Even if it was at half price it would be a great help. It would reduce the grind for those who wanted that, while leaving it untouched for those who enjoy it. It would make prestige feel less bad. It would also let people like me get some value out of things I'll never use. As an example I have so many flashlights and flashlight addons. But I don't use them. For me they're just a reminder of the blood points I've wasted.

Calm down man, where did i say this SHOULDN'T be a thing?
I'm saying that the current suggestion will ruin the BP economy for a good amount and we need more than just "Oh, i can sell now.".
1 -
Apologies... it would effect the economy... maybe a crafting system would work better taking browns and yellows and combining them for green....
This game does need more then just the ability to to sell stuff..

It's fine.
I've always been for crafting/selling to get rid of these things.
Like you said, combining stuff is my personal preferred way.
If selling Add-ons would only net you like 10% of the original cost, you'd see long-time players who always keep stuff they don't want to use suddenly sky-rocket in BP amounts.
But with combining, you'd be required to have multiple parts.
Say you want to make an Iridescent Stone, and you need Trapper Gloves & Fastening Tools.
You have 100 Trapper Gloves, but you don't have a Fastening Tools.
This way, you CAN make use out of the stuff you don't want without it being such a massive gain in BP.

Thanks for the input!

The problem I see with this is that then people would be free to ALWAYS use the best stuff. Damn near EVERY game with huntress for example would be an Iri head, or EVERY toolbox used would be commodious. While Ill admit, that blowing the BPs i get after each game and being forced to buy 5 brown EXP offerings feels kinda #########... The alternative would be too much access to the really good stuff. People already claim that they see sweaty killers all the time... Well, imagine if they get the really good addons and red mori EVERY game. On the flip side, Killers complain about Gen-rush and instaheals... Best toolboxes and instaheal medkits EVERY GAME.
Maybe a possible solution to avoid this would be to increase the cost of the really powerful stuff to the point that it wouldnt be possible to flip the BPs gained from 1 match to replace them every game. what if we made it easier to blow through bloodwebs for the sake of obtaining perks, while maybe slapping a hefty BP cost on things like Iri heads or syringe. have maybe 4 perks available on smaller bloodwebs, while keeping the OP stuff on the outer slots to avoid making someone HAVE to get them. Maybe put a 50k pricetag on that Iri head. Just a thought.

I need a lot of Rubber Gloves though. Some of them kinks can be risky if done without protection.

People don't care enough for BP alone. They should make it shards.
Shards can be turned into BP so it'll catch both people who value cosmetics, free perks, and BP.

This shouldn’t be rank 1 specific. This should just be a thing.

I like this idea but then you'll get folks that will say they only play casually and it's not fair... Either way it's still a good idea😊👍❤️
