So I've made a decision with regards to EGC.

The next time a killer tries to drag it out for the animation I will dc. And continue to do so until this bullshit ends.

I did it too, the EGC is just a bullshit.

And then I uninstalled the game and I playing something else and I'm starting to have fun again. DBD is broken.

Okay, consider every killer who plays the game warned.

+1 This as well. I've literally only had this happen to me maybe once since EGC release. The claims of this happening are way over exaggerated. The people having this done to them more are probably because of their toxic behavior in game.

@Orion it's 4 minute when someone is downed or hook right?

    Cause now im confused .-.

@Milo Indeed, it's 4 minutes when someone is downed or hooked. However, according to Almo, they intended for it to be 3 minutes when someone is downed or hooked.

I'm guessing someone (internally) made the common (yet absurd) mistake of equating a 50% slow with 50% additional time, hence the confusion.

And another thread where killer mains show their typical double standards. Its ridiculous. No even a single piece of fairness within their minds.

It amazes me people think it's about the wasted time. I'm tired of people's garbage behavior and plan on not rewarding it.

@MegsAreEvil a guy is literally going to DC because he can't stand being slugged for four minutes(btw the bleed out timer is four minutes).

@Unnamed_Freak @Tsulan If you actually read what I said I was very specific. If some asshat decides to carry me to the hatch to close it in front of me, and then wants to follow me around so they can trigger the animation, they are being a toxic bastard. I've decided to not reward that behavior.

That person wants to see the new cool kill animation.

If thats being an toxic bastard, then i don´t know anymore.

I've only had it only and the killer that did do it had a valid reason to do so ( the other survivors were complete potatoes and he got like no points ). I don't really mind that much as its 3-4 minutes

I'm a survivor main and I'll bet you were one of the survivors that stood at the exit gate and tea bagged or ran around for more than 4 minutes looking for the hatch when both doors were open pre- egc. For over 2 years the killers had to put up with that BS. Pay back is a ######### and enjoy the zero bps. I say when the killer does that.. just let them. It's only a few minutes. Not a big deal.

Lol I tend t do that to swf if there is a large group of them down one keep them all in the game for BW play watch them all cry their little toxic hearts out

I can't wait to slug you

Well now...that's the rub isn't it? 4 minutes is the MAX amount of time. So if we are being realistic...the slug time is usually even less than 4 minutes. Call is 2 minutes (right down the middle at half) and it's 120 seconds.....can't be bothered to wait 120 seconds?

What's the rush....gotta get into the lobbies faster and wait another 10 minutes? Oh wait, that's just killers....survivor lobbies insta fill....BUT still. 4 minutes maxed, 2 minutes typically....oh the humanity!

Step 1. Queue up. Time for solo survivors on PS4: anywhere from 2-10 minutes depending on the time of day

Step 2. Find a lobby. Time spent in lobby: 5 seconds to about 2 minutes if there is trouble finding all 4 survivors

Stop here if the killer decides to dodge the lobby and go back to step 1

Step 3. Everybody readies up. Time to load match: about 1 minute

Step 4. Actual gameplay. The match could last anywhere from 4 minutes (if one side steam rolls or if there are DCs) to maybe 15 on the high end

Step 5. Be last survivor against a killer who simply and innocently wants to see the new entity kill animation. Depending when downed could take anywhere from 10 seconds to the full 4 minutes.

Step 5. End game. Load the results screen and exit the match: roughly 1 minute.

    Repeat all steps.

Basically, the time you spend finding a match, getting into it and then leaving can be the same as or exceed the amount of time you actually spend playing a game and not slugged on the ground. And sometimes the wait is even longer in queues, especially for SWF. If you happen to spend your first match tunneled to death, your second farmed, your third camped and then finally you get into a decent one only for the killer to slug you for up to 4 minutes, supposedly so they can see a cool animation, it's pretty ######### frustrating. If I had never played the game and was watching a streamer play a match and had to watch the survivor bleed out for 4 minutes I would think the game looks terrible.

Because it was worse before for others does not make it acceptable now. Most survivors didn't sit at the gate forever just like most killers didn't hold the game hostage by blocking survivors in the basement. Toxicity goes both ways, stop being so biased.

"Just give it a few days/a week/a month, killers just want to see the animation" is not a reason not to fix something that has a lot of potential to continue to be abused. You are lying to yourself if you're seriously trying to claim that no killers will do this anytime they get flashlighted, looped, body blocked, or any other reason under the sun that triggers certain people. Not all, maybe not even many, but a good chunk given the history of toxicity in this game.

This is a brand new annoyance. It is fresh on everyone's minds. The best time to give feedback is right after a change, when the devs are actively looking for it and before they have moved on to other things. There are solutions that allow killers to still be able to see the animation and get their points. For instance, when a survivor is the last one left and in the EGC they can hit a concede button. This could allow the player to leave the game as if they had been sacrificed, but leave behind their character that will immediately spawn all 3 idle crows so the killer can do whatever they want with the survivor. The killer can down and sacrifice or Mori them or let the timer run out to see the new animation. They would get all the regular points for this.

I can't imagine why anybody would have a problem with this kind of solution but I know a few of you will.

I find it very telling that with every new post made about this topic the same killer mains come in to say the same things. Why do you care so much that others are bothered by this? I'm just guessing, but I think it's because you see this as revenge for survivors who have done similar or worse things to you in the past. Well, that makes you a part of the problem. Congrats.

You're going to get a ban and repeated offensives will escalate the ban duration.

"survivors used to delay the game too!!!!!1!111!1!!" is not an excuse to waste someone's time.

It's not a competition to see who's more petty yknow
