The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

freddy rework look weak?
i don't really understand all he will do, but he doesn't look that powerful? he can teleport to gens but survivors will see it and they have 5 seconds to run away (most likely reduced with add-ons)
dream traps are just slows down, so not really good like the clown, which in my opinion is pretty low tier,
fake pallets are like doctor, so yea it can be useful for a hit and such, but other than this, looks weak.

Isn't there going to be devices with clocks on them around the maps that allow survivors to wake themselves up instead of relying on failed skill checks or other survivors to wake them up?

Tinkerer, nuff said.

It's FAR superior to waiting 7 seconds to hit someone, right?

He's been given 3 powers while Legion sits at half a power. Too early to claim OP or UP, but he has a loaded kit that other Killer would love.

He'll have more strategy to him. He will be better. His pallet power will be fun to use especially to the toxic survivors.
2 -
SMH, some people wouldn't be satisfied until Freddy can fly.

He can actually hit people without having to wait for them to fall asleep. This is a HUGE buff for him and it is certainly better than what he was when he released.

Unless they put heavy CD or distance restrictions on it. An ability to teleport to a generator..... oh my I am excited.
I don't even care the survivor is notified I am coming. The ability to get a survivor off a gen is amazing and so much pressure. Accompany that with the ability to appear there and begin a chase. mmmmmmmmmm

Current Freddy only has stall and aura reading for his power. You can do some cool ######### with the Dream Transition, but other than that he hasn't really got much of power to begin with. Just a few massive benefits to his long list of cons.
This rework gives him mobility, anti-chase tools and will no longer be hindered by awake survivors. This rework sounds good but it all depends on how he plays in the PTB.
1 -
That's pretty irrelevant when the gen spouts blood to tell them you're coming anyway.

I like the teleport for mobility but the whole trap and fake pallet thing looks gimmicky and unrealistic to be effective against good survivors. Not to mentions traps don't really fit Freddy's theme to begin with imo.
This is just first impressions though. It also depends a lot what the numbers look like for cooldowns on the abilities and whatnot.
3 -
Correct me if I'm wrong but the traps slow the survivors down yeah?
So I'll imagine it'll probably look something like this

Obviously I only have the beta footage shown in the stream to go from, but it seems that even though Freddy's Generator Teleport ability is said to take 5 seconds to charge up, the blood spewing from the Generator does not seem to actually happen until about two seconds before Freddy actually teleports (note that the numbers could easily change before release).

This kinda looks like a nerf, but I don't think they mentioned the Aura Reading. If he keeps that, then with the passive sleep mechanic he might have the best information gain in the game which could be insane when paired with the Generator teleport.
The other stuff looks gimmicky and time-inefficient though, not a fan of trading stall for those.

I highly doubt that effective. That's more of an immobilization than a slow.
We already know how effective a slow is with the Clown..not enough for rank 1 viability or even close. Not to mention it's probably much less flexible than the clowns bottles as you have to pre place it.

Not thrilled about waking up getting easier but I hope they don't cut any of their concepts for him until after we try the ptb.

Never mind the Freddy rework, I forgot how much the reboot sucked!!!!

I think the fact that he can attack Survivors at any time instead of having to wait for them to fall asleep is enough to make this not a nerf.
2 -
Of course but I was just pointing out that Freddy is pretty diverse when it comes to torturing his victims. The only theme he has is killing people when their asleep.
2 -
I think the problem with comparing it to Clown is that Clown is able to use his slowdown on whoever he wants and actively whereas Freddy's will only work on sleeping Survivors who step on a Trap, so I think it's a bit of an early conclusion to assume that the slowdown on the Dream Snares will be to the same degree as the Gas Bottles.

I think the rework is amazing. They basically helped Freddy on the 3 key components of a Killer's strength.
-Mobility/Map Pressure: He can teleport to any gen, I'm not sure about distance restrictions but anything higher than 40 meters is already good. He can even fake teleport to force them off the gen and catch them running away.
-Stalling/Wasting time: Asleep survivors are in more danger since they cannot hear a TR (just a non-direction lullaby) and they are susceptible to traps and dream pallets. The fact that Freddy doesn't need to actively put people asleep and it happens on it's own can waste time on survivors by forcing them to wake up or risk being in more danger during a chase.
-Chase strength: Dream Pallets and/or Snares will help freddy during a Chase, even if only as a deterrant to survivors for gong to strong loops at worse and an easy hit/down at best. Maybe even certain add-ons will get dream pallet dropping survivor debuffs or even damage them.
Assuming he is a 115% movement killer still, his dream powers can only help him in chase, not hinder him.

They still wouldn't be satisfied @Visionmaker they would have to make him fly and piss fire that instantly sacrifices the survivors for some of these people to be happy and even then it may not work out for them
1 -
Well seeing as Clowns slow is his only ability and for Freddy it's another ability the likelyhood of it being a better slow than Clowns is just very low and unlikely. Then Clown would be irrelevant.

Not really. If the slowdown was as effective as Clown's but happening way less often, wouldn't it just be useless? Especially if it's something that someone can proc while they're far away from Freddy.
