Suggestion to make Ghostface a better stalker

I believe the design for Ghostface is really good, but most importantly, there are so many classic horror movie scenarios enabled by his playstyle. He is trying to take small peeks at the survivors as they do things, or hide just behind the doorframe as the survivor runs by obliviously. It's wonderful. The problem is this: in a horror movie, whenever the survivor makes eye contact with the killer, the killer notices and quickly pulls their head away to resume sneaking.

It feels to me that the flow and functionality of the power assumes by-design that you can tell when a survivor looks at you. It does give a small indicator sometimes to tell you in which direction you were spotted from. The problem is, this indicator triggers after your stealth is broken. By the time you know you are being looked at, it is literally too late.

My suggestion is this: Change the detection notification to occur anytime you are on a survivor's screen, starting from the instant they begin looking at you. That gives an attentive killer 1 full second to get out of sight.


The way this would play is as follows:

The killer will take small peeks at survivors from behind obstacles, building small snippets of stalk each time. Whenever a survivor starts to break him out of stealth, he pulls his head behind the corner, maintaining his stealth if he reacts to the detection notification quickly, popping his disturbing little face out around this and that and bobbing out of sight again just as you look. At first you maybe don't notice him, but as you pan you catch a quick glance of something white vanishing behind a corner. If you go to investigate, you may either end up discovering he is gone, or wind up in an ambush. All of this occurs with no heartbeat. (It may be beneficial to reduce the rate at which survivors' stalk meters decay, or increase the delay before it begins draining. That way he can toy with one survivor, "micro-stalking" them over a longer period.)


My point is, equipping Ghostface with a live feed of "seen/unseen", a la Spine Chill, subtly promotes all the hollywood-style design of his playstyle, while simultaneously offering a tool that will allow Ghostface players to feel much more in control of their stealth and when it ends. I think this extremely tiny modification may be a solution that not only alleviates community objections to the killer, but also turns Ghostface into a vibrantly high-skill-ceiling killer.

    Yeah I hope they end up doing something like this. I think I posted in the wrong section but the summary is


    1) GF stealth breaking taking more time and indicating direction and severity of being watched

    2) In addition to 1, multiple eyes stack this breaking effect.

    3) Stealth noise is quiet and only audible within normal 32 like TR. However, keep it loud for when a survivor is actively being stalked to give opportunity to hide/break his stealth.
