Items Shouldn't Guaruntee an Escape or Kill

No matter how good a killer does if the survivor brings or finds a purple or red key and finds the hatch it's a free win. There shouldn't be an item that can get you an instant win and show auras until you leave at 1% to get the free win, either take away the auras, have the hatch close after one person jumps through when opened by a key, or make it so the key has to be above a certain percentage to open the hatch that way you have to choose what to use the key for. I see keys as the survivor equivalent of a memento mori (though I think there should be a bigger requirement for that too but that's a different topic), I don't use either (unless I have a ritual) because it's unfair to both sides, you shouldn't get a free kill or escape just because you bring an item or offering. The only requirements for either are just hooking survivors and completing gens (or waiting until your teammates die and opening it after the killer closes it).

    This 'free win' term is stupid. For a mori you need to chase and down a survivor, then run into that survivor again after an unhook and do it all over a second time to mori. For keys you have to do gens and pay a price in a number of dead survivors before the hatch even appears. On top of that you have to be one of those survivors still alive when it does appear. EGC can go arguably go either way and is another discussion.

    Neither one is 'free' or guaranteed.

    Get all killers to give up their mori, and survivors will probably give up their keys.

    3 gens being atleast done. That is if there are are only 2 survivors remaining.

    Oh and also "have the hatch close after one person jumps through when opened by a key" there's an achievement.
