Please say something
Any word on these frequent DC issues devs? Please, its terrible at least let us know you're working on it. The game is not in a good shape the matchmaking is horrible at the moment I'm sorry to say. And another question, why does this game take up almost 1600 MB of my memory, is it that intensive? Or is it not very well optimized?

The game is very poorly optimized. If you are running the game at more than 60fps, it's gonna cook your graphics card.
Even on low settings, at 60+ fps my 1080ti burns up. Yet I can run DOOM 2016 at all Ultra setting 120+ frames and never even come close to hitting max temperature.

I don't think the DC issue @Gardenia is talking about has anything to do with graphic settings... over half of the friends I've played with and a good portion of randoms I have played with have been getting disconnected mid-match out of thin air.
It's kind of baffling to me that not one dev has responded to any of the posts suggesting there is a DC bug when there are countless of streamers who have this on video.
This is what it exactly what it looks like on killer side: @ 0:21
(The video claims it was due to Nea flashing her flashlight, but its not, it happens for no reason)

seems that was macro abuse possibly. the clicking of the flashlight binded too a macro i think it dcs people seen plenty of people complain about it

They barely are holding the game together as is....Its so broken right now. Do you really think they are gonna do anything about DC's?

Yes this is exactly it, I'll be playing normally and then poof it disconnects me.

I mean...I run it at 144fps with Gsync. My video card is an air cooled 1080ti and doesn't get that hot. 60c tops.

@dannyfrog87 The way it looks like the survivors DC'd all at once has happened to me many times. Even when they didn't have flashlights. I personally think it's some kind of internal bug that is making people disconnect from host... same thing that happens pre-match but now mid-match. It's so weird.

I think it's my particular model of card, it's an 11GB MSI model.
Other people have mentioned their top of the line cards are also overheating in a thread I made. It also makes the PS4 sound like a jet engine.
If I can run literally every single game I have no problem and DbD is the ONLY game that causes this, I'm gonna go on record and say it's DbD, not my rig

Problem with heat is: normal game menu is usually fps capped to 30 fps but not in DBD.
If you have fps cap to 144fps so the menu is 144 fps too. And while I am typing this post and game is in menu and minimized 90% of my GTX 1080 is used on DBD. My GPU attacks 80 °C while game is in menu!!!
What does it do? Mining cryptocurrency?
Because BHVR has problem with optimization:
-it increases your power consumption
-heat lowering GPU lifetime possible all PC components
-extra noise from fans

So how of you has the game dc'd since the Double Blood Point started?
I think I've hit an all-time record.
I've lost about 10 escape cakes.

Playing my first game now, I just got home from work I will tell you how it goes

We need to keep this conversation going because this is probably the biggest bug, and yet I feel like no one is talking about it.
How can people complain about gen-rushing and camping when you can't even last in a match for more than 5 mins? xD
It's so frustrating.

Agreed, my first match has gone okay. I'm about to play a few more hopefully it's still does okay. And I hope the devs are looking into this issue

Still, I would have games as a sparing killer with 2 people instantly DC, then while letting the last two survivors work on gens, one just disconnected out of thin air like someone snapped their fingers. Another game, I was letting a David save a basement hooked survivor, but after the save, he mysteriously just DC for no reason. Later, another David suddenly became afk with crows, and I let the other two get away.
I have also gotten numerous killer DCs for no reason, not even rage quit. And does everyone still have the infinite loading screen when trying to play survivor still?

@Ember_Hunter Yeah, like I said the more of us that provide feedback on the random DCs the more chances we'll have that they will actually look at these threads.

For intentional DCs, we've gone over it a couple times in the developer updates. We're working on a new system and expect to have it out at the same time as dedicated servers. Until then, we'll keep handing out bans to people who do it excessively with our current system.
For unintentional disconnects, we are currently looking into it. Unfortunately that's all I can tell you right now, it's impossible to say how close a bug is to being fixed, but it is a high priority.

you can hear the flashlight sound is louder when it disconnects everyone. Not sure if thats the cause, but the sound hits right when it DCs.

That's months away though, you guys need to at least do something about killers losing BPs and wasting addons and offerings.

Thanks for responding, but why would you continue handing out bans with this specific issue happening?

@DrDeepwound I wish I could say it was the flashlight causing the game to dc survivors, but it's not. I've dc'd the same exact way as in the video with survivors who didn't have flashlights.
@Peanits Thank you for responding. I told McLean about it on his stream and also informed him that the unintentional dc doesn't have that 'dc sound' you normally hear. I don't know if this helps.
I know you guys are looking into it, and while I wish you had better news, I trust that you guys will do your best to fix this asap. It's probably the most frustrating thing at the moment because if you're playing survivor, and you have 1-2 people booted from the match it makes for a not so fun match. 5 generators to fix with 2 people alive. Not to mention if you're the person who's been disconnected, you lose your offering. The fact that it happens more often than not doesn't help either.
