Why are they all worrying about nerf to ghostface? Have the dev said something about it?
I'm reading everywhere people screaming "don't nerf ghostface plss!!" or similar things, but why? did any dev talk about nerf of ghostface after the recent changes?

Can we expect any changes from the latest PTB update? 🤔

Not that I know of. I really hope they don't nerf him, as that would be a big mistake , especially considering the vast majority like his changes according to polls. I think the reason why people are worried is because of two things...past killers being nerfed, and he's so good now that he should be left alone, and are therefore worried they'll nerf him .

@Peanits Fingers crossed your post quiets the people freaking out over something that hasn't been confirmed yet.

so why all these people who repeat endlessly "not nerf ghostface"? it is not a killer strong, so it would not even make sense nerf, indeed, with the changes that have been there has only reached the threshold of "decent" (in my opinion) but we are far from a killer who can do something in rank high, so I don't understand all these concerns

We are afraid because the devs have a history with unnecessary nerfs

It's a thing for the devs to nerf a killer after launch

No, but I think people are tired of weak Killers. The last "strong" Killer we got was Spirit, and she need three rounds of buffs before reaching her present state and has had to deal with broken sounds up until this very update.
Doctor was supposedly meta-breaking but needed buffs to just not be absolute garbage, Wraith and Trapper updates did little to affect their tier placement, Cannibal is discount Hillbilly only played for perks and memes, Nightmare was already a weak Killer when he was nerfed within weeks of release, Clown had only minor buffs before launch and hasn't shaken things up, Plague's basekit was nerfed before launch, Legion's rework fixed exploits but didn't really make him better, and Pig was already weak when her endgame potential was nerfed.
Now you can argue about the context or motivations of all of these claims, but it doesn't change the overall malaise the developers have built up with Killer players. It's the "power" role but most get bullied by competent Survivors, especially at red ranks. And yet we're expected to shell out cash every three months to pay for these suboptimal characters.
The result is a lot of people instinctively worrying that any Killer who might be decent if not great will be nerfed because Survivors refuse to learn how to play against him or low rank players who lose to every Killer will complain he's too strong. And we all know Killers get weaker once players have had a few weeks to grow accustomed to playing against them.
Is the fear justified? We'll see when the final patch notes come out.

I'm just waiting to see how he fairs on console.

yes but it is an unjustified fear, because I consider ghostface a killer that can be lethal only with low ranks, it's not strong enough to deserve a nerf, it's just a decent killer, nothing more

@Pike_Trickfoot He will be exactly the same as pc just like every other killer besides nurse and huntress.
He requires no precise inputs

May do better on console. You see the difference in flashlight use on console? They have to aim to break GF out of stealth. It may take a tiny bit more work for console players to adapt than a mouse would.
