I do not like versing Ghostface.
Devs this does not mean nerf him. Id prefer him to just be tweaked and have a buff.
Ghostface is not fun because ill be looking at him AND HE DOESNT GET KNOCKED OUT. Its frustrating because you have to put yourself out in the open for his ability to not work. The counterplay is kinda poop.
My idea:
- He would be easier to spot, If he is on your screen at all for 5 seconds he would be knocked out of night shroud.
- He should be given some sort of map pressure. (Locker Teleport COME ON IT WOULD BE SO GOOD)
- Remove the whole distance that you can spot him or make it alot larger by default.
With #1. He would have more time to realize you were spotting him and hide, but he would be easier to spot. With #3. It is frustrating that I can clearly see him, but I still get exposed.
This is good because as a He has more time to hide so it encourages his stealth and he cannot just play like myers.
With #2. Just add locker teleport me boys. I know its work but damn it would be the best thing for him, ive never been so confident. I have plenty discussions about Locker Teleport.
IF THIS IS READ DO NOT IMPLEMENT THE FIRST CHANGES, if you do, WITHOUT GIVING HIM SOME MAP PRESSURE.

People need to understand you can't move your camera at all when getting him out of Stalk, if you move once it will reset
90% of the survivors does not know how to play against Ghostface atm, he was trash on the PTB when survivors can detect him out of stealth in 32 meters
Hes broken now due to one Bug, Infinite Stalk Duration, due to being able to stalk marked survivors.
Also, Ghostface can just marked you at 99%, then mark you immediately later to get u fully marked, like Myer
Even if you see him, if he has you marked at 99%+, you will get exposed, there's no way to get out of this

Infinite stalking is honestly fine to me. My problem is that I see him and It doesnt cancel him. The killer will always be on the move so I kinda need to move the camera to put him in the middle. Im saying they shouldnt add the easier spotting until they add another buff (aka locker teleport come on devs) so he will have to play stealthier and be able to get behind survivors without needing to walk by them. If hes easier to spot but better at getting around, then HE WOULD BE SOLID

Too large of a conclusion to come to. He just needs map pressure. Then his other things could be tweaked to be more enjoyable

He gets knocked out very easily. Most survivors just haven't figured out the correct camera angle yet.

He needs to be able to "infinite" stalk if he wants to stand a chance in high ranks with how abysmal map design is and how many pallets there is at times, without that, he waste his time stalking and can never capitalize on it, if they "fix" that, he will drop in viability.

This isn't quite the case. You can move your camera while revealing Ghost Face, but you'll need to keep him within the detection area. If he's outside the detection area, you've only got a short window to get him back in the detection area or else his reveal progress will start to regress.

Thats why I dont want my change to be implemented unless he is buffed too. I want him to be able to tp inside of lockers but be easier to spot so it encourages stealthy gameplay instead of "you can clearly see me but im crouching a bunch so theres no counterplay" HOWEVER DEVS SHOULD ONLY MAKE HIM STRONGER AND MORE FUN! Not weaker and more fun. Bc that wouldnt be fun for everyone.

That is a whole other developmental process they are not going to do. If we want changes we need to make reasonable changes. That isn't one.
At this point they are only doing number tweaks essentially, not adding entirely new abilities to the killer, that's unrealistic.

From my play, it seems the survivor has a rough 120° angle to spot GF. Run Spine Chill if you want to get the upper hand and gain some distance while looking for him.
My experience was getting Marked around 4 times, getting hit twice, and knocking him out of stealth around 16 times. Most lf these matches being in Coldwond Farm, mind you. I hardly saw ######### but still knocked him out.

Its not unrealistic when you take in consideration THEY ONLY HAD 1 KILLER TO WORK ON. No map and no survivor. They need to give more than they have because his perks are ######### and hes in a sticky situation.

In around 40 games playing versus him I have been exposed twice I think it's relatively easy right now.
I think many players rely too much on the heartbeat instead of using their eyes.

I have been exposed twice also in multiple games yesterday and today (he was using the camera, lean add-on). Center your camera and don’t move it and he breaks out of stealth quickly. Most survivors are just potatoes. Myers is 100x better than Ghostface. He’s just as easy to loop as the plague, lol.

That's because they are using that time on other things, not because they have it lying around to throw at him.

The devs 100% will not buff him at this point, and if he ended up being weak, it will take 1-2 years for them to revisit him

I definitely use my eyes. Im very aware. BUT WHEN IM LOOKIN AT HIM NOTHING HAPPENS. Just frustrating that they have a spotting mechanic except when I spot him nothing happens and he can just crouch to cancel

It actually is working as intended, but survivors aren't used to having to essentially aim at the same level as a killer. You needed to also commit to looking at him as we've tested the other way and the killer absolutely didn't function. It isn't hard to ask that survivors be properly aware of Ghostface and focus up on him. They are even increasing the detection range in the hotfix. Even they the reality is that if you're being chased and can't steady your camera on his you're getting stalked. Lower skilled players are already showing a struggle to do this, but higher skilled players are breaking Ghostface with ease. Usually the ones in red rank that play both killer and survivor.

Everyone here is talking about the reveal progress resetting, are you trying to say that survivors have some kind of indicator to let them know how close they are of knocking him out of stalk?

How they make everything require no skill and give skilled players little advantage. Like ######### with thrilling trimmers having a cooldown? No no. He needs to be stronger but in a different way. Survivors get what they want too much. I just want things perfectly balanced between all ranks. I made a discussion on how to make a killer that can work in all ranks fairly... Check it out if you want. GF is fine but it's annoying not being able to see him but if that was taken away then hed just be ######### which is why he should have map pressure so he can work in all ranks but press x to doubt. GG devs. Do better next time bc this was not a pretty good job so far.

Can you guys actually start to work with Experienced Survivors/ look at matches at high rank, give it some time before nerfing Ghostface with detection system

His power is a bullshit. I was literally facing him over the window and still got exposed. Not right camera angle to get him out of it? Really? How? it was like 2 meters distance between us. This ######### just doesn't work like it should

He looks so derpy peeking around corners.
Most of the time I can break him before exposed, but sometimes I don't know if it's lag or latency but I'll get the angle and it doesn't break him. Like full out in the open and run into him so that we both notice each other at the same time (and he doesn't have those add-ons). I still think he's pretty easy to face, not fun but not annoying.

I literally hate crying survivors. I get rank 1 in both (not that that means much) I main spirit. I have 2000+ hours. I want balance. I want him to stay the way he is or have him be buffed whilst making him easier to spot which would actually make hime better if he had map pressure so no. not a crying survivor

Or, can we just delete GF and introduce a non-stealthy killer? It solves the issue with potato solo survivors dying to a killer that was just introduced a day ago because they haven’t figured out how to center their camera without moving it. At the same time, Introduce a killer that is more dynamic for SWF and that doesn’t involve the endless looping snore fest that GF is. Really, once you learn how to cancel his shroud he is just as easy to loop as the plague and another boring M1 killer. The plague can eventually break you and down you if you make a mistake versus ghost face resetting the stalk meter if he hits you, lol. Win-Win.

Guys I want him to be viable in all ranks, top tier, but I dont think this is it chief. I want him to be able to tp inside of lockers but be slightly easier to see whilst giving him more time to hide. THAT IS A BUFF. If he is able to tp inside a locker behind a survivor, stalk them from inside and hop out and stab, that would be fun. If he is easier to spot, then he will require more stealth bc right now he really doesnt. Obviously this wont happen. I do not want the nerfs to go through. He needs to be strong. Dont nerf him until a buff is prepared for him.

@Peanits I think the main problem people are having is knowing what the detection area actually is. Survivors don't exactly have a reticle to use when hovering over him. It's a lot like having to guess where the middle of the screen is with a huntress hatchet but more confusing due to the third person camera. I don't think they should actually have a reticle, it just wouldn't look very good, but there should be a visual indicator to go with the audio indicator once you've held the detection zone on him for the buffer duration. (I hope that last bit made sense)
