as someone who played as and against GF, the detection range/time needs fixed

I know this may be addressed by the hotfix, but the detection mechanic doesn't work right. I've stared at a killer as he came around the corner, ran at me stalking and he marked me before I broke his stealth. Same as happened for my favor as well though, I have had a survivor stare straight at me while i stared at them and they got marked, at that point I almost feel bad one shotting them.

    I believe the range is fine, but the time definetly needs a change, aswell as a slight angle change.

    It needs fixed is what it needs! I'm so tired of getting marked when I was staring at gf the entire time and he's not behind cover and I was also staring at him while he made his way over to me! It never breaks them out of stalk and I'm always exposed. Another bug is when the exposure runs out and I don't have the circle around my name anymore I still got one hit down. I've also had it where I've revealed him and he just kept right on stalking me and exposed me. He's super buggy and I wish they would have waited to release him when he was fixed.

    Was gf running addons to shorten the detection range? I've found that distance and how exposed his body is make a huge difference.

    @johnmwarner He's getting 8% added to his pov so you'll have an easier time to detect him so you don't have to be perfectly center anymore.

    I haven’t run that addon yet and I still stalk people staring right at me what’s ve is the base range?

    Does his mark meter reset every time he loses Line Of Sight of you? does your "Reveal Meter" reset every time you lose Line Of Sight of him? Also, I agree, They need to fix the range and time of it... its dumb sometimes

    The time is a total of 1.8s. 0.3s of buffer check and 1.5 of breaking. I don't know how much shorter you want it to be. They've already said, despite the fact that it is really too soon to be doing it, they will be hotfixing him to have an extra 4% detection range on both sides. That will give a total of 8% camera leniency. Right now we're getting a lot of mixed feedback out of this. For every person who says they're breaking his stealth we have a person saying they can't do it. Watching high rank survivor play their breaking him on a regular basis, but at lower ranks the break is hit or miss.

    Personally, I can most of the time center him up just fine and break him, but if he's really close then you're usually getting marked regardless. Now, I certainly don't agree with the idea that his marking should pause if being looked at. That would absolutely too much of a limitation. You've got like 32m to see and break him at base. If he uses addons that goes down a decent amount and you'll need to be closer. In PTB we tested and saw what it was like when his power broke in 1s flat. It was useless.

    Only played against him a few times, but had no problem revealing him. Looks like you need to work on getting him in the center.
