I know I am surprised too, but if this happened to you don't post it here, talk to the support team at support.deadbydaylight.com

You said it like thats something rare to happen.

I rarely see any bans on console, but then again its console

I should submit a ticket to report raqequit? Not interested. Just wondering if post game report system works at all.

You can check here what's reportable and what isn't: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/19450/game-rules-and-report-system#latest .

I misread, I thought you meant you got banned from rqing

"Unsportsmanlike" or whatever it's called, the report button on the far right, lists rage quitting specifically as a report reason. As far as I am concerned ingame information > forum. If it's not intended to be used to report rage quits it should be removed from the description

So a mod literally tells you the information is outdated, but rather than listen to them, you'd rather give them more useless reports to trudge through, thus decreasing the overall effectiveness of the report system?

Yes
I believe rage quitting has been listed as a report reason since the report system was introduced. If they still haven't updated it after most likely getting a lot of reports for it, then I will assume that it is in fact intentional and the forum mods are wrong

You do realize that ACMs are the people who handle those reports, right? It's their job to know this stuff.

As Peanits said just some comments above, ragequits shouldn't be reported because disconnects are automatically tracked.

Then why has the report description never been updated? I find it extremely unlikely that the majority of players read the forums, therefore there are most likely many reports about rage quitting. Why has no one ever bothered to update the description?

While I understand that disconnects do not need to be reported I cannot argue with what @Madjura is saying. Loads of people do not use the forums and thus would not know that the button that is still in the game (listed in the "report" section) should not be used.
It really should be removed from the options.

I think that description might be valid in the less common case where you have video evidence of a rage quit that's pretty much undeniably a rage quit and you want to send a support ticket with the video. To my knowledge, you're supposed to in game report any problem players you want to sent in a support ticket about.

In game report system is not needed at all then? Or some offenses are still valid to report via in game report system?

You just dont need to report for ragequits. Everything else should be reported in game.

Is the game freezing when loading in considered a D/C? Because I have this bug...

plz define "excessively"?
is maybe more DCs than half of matchs started? (if play 10 matches and DC 6 got banned, if DC 5 not)

A streamer and swf group all rage quit on me for playing Legion. Went to his stream and clipped the part where they actually said they are going to dc to "prevent me from getting points" then dced. Reported it and they told me not to report disconnects.
*Shrugs* There's your answer. Don't report disconnects no matter the intention

They don't want it to be known what is considered excessively dcing as it would be abused
An example: I've dced 4 times this past week so I can dc 6 more times before getting punished

@Sairek I didn't know you could report for that.
0 -
@fluffymareep @Sairek That's not bannable and you're just wasting your time and the mods' time if you report it.

I'll give the team your feedback, thank you for bringing this up.
Again, to avoid misunderstandings: you don't need to report dcs, they are automatically tracked.
