Rank Rewards: Making Rank Rewarding!
Prologue
Rank is commonly referred as "Play Time" from most community members, but I disagree, rank is more than just a number. You'll see different behaviors between a rank 10 and a rank 1 survivor; the same applies to killers as well. Therefore, if players are playing better to reach higher ranks, why not reward that?
Rank Rewards
Bloodpoints earned from Rank Rewards can go above the Bloodpoint cap, but you'll be NOT able to earn Bloodpoints from games until your Bloodpoint value is below the cap.
Grey Ranks: 50,000 BP
This is the beginner ranks, nothing surprising here, but they should get something to help encourage them to try hard for the next season.
Yellow Ranks: 100,000 BP
This is mediocre, players are starting to learn more about the game here, which should be rewarded because their knowledge is starting to paying off.
Green Ranks: 250,000 BP
We're getting somewhere now, the player learnt almost every technique in the game, and is having great success with it. This should be heavy rewarded because they are getting really consistent with their techniques.
Purple Ranks: 500,000 BP & 1,000 Iridescent Shards
We're hitting maximum efficiency here, the player knows how to do everything here. The only thing setting the player back is their harsh competition against more experienced players like themselves. Since they reached this far by trial and error, the reward is practically doubled here.
Red Ranks: 1,000,000 BP & 2,000 Iridescent Shards
The player is so experienced about applying their knowledge to the game that they almost never make a mistake against other players. Their competition against other players is a cake walk, which is phenomenal! The reward is doubled again for their dedication to becoming a top tier player!
Maximum Rank: 1,000,000 BP, 2,000 Iridescent Shards, & 1 Legacy Party Streamer
When you're the best player, ever... you'll of course get an overwhelming reward. Every defeat and domination gave you enough strength to finish out on the top. Congratulations, your accomplishments will not be forgotten, and your legacy will live on forever!
Legacy Party Streamers: (Survivor)
A party streamer that celebrates a memorable time when a survivor become hero of the fog. Grants everyone in the trial 500% bonus bloodpoints post-trial.
Legacy Party Streamers: (Killer)
A party streamer that celebrates a memorable time when a killer was proudly promoted by the Entity. Grants everyone in the trial 500% bonus bloodpoints post-trial.
Concerns
With rank rewards comes with a lot of problems such as players quickly reaching maximum rank, then not playing another game until rank rewards.
The solution to this would be rank decay, which works as follows:
- Must complete a game once every week.
- If the above requirement is not fulfilled, you'll lose a pip every day until you're at rank 10.
- Killers and survivors rank have separate decay timers for their respective ranks.
Epilogue
That's basically it, something to keep elite Dead by Daylight players playing. Something everyone can benefit from!
Hopefully, y'all will enjoy this suggestion, and keep in mind that values can be changed later to fit the balance of the game.

Add something for every devotion, and u r done. Good ideas, probs

Devotion just needs an incentive to want to go back to lvl 1 because otherwise it just needs output
But yeah this is a great idea!

You always come through, NMCKE, proud of you on this one.

Love this. Props to you👍👍.

I can get onboard with some type of rank reward system. As it stands now, I have no reason or desire to rank up.

This is a good one tbh

Couldn't agree more with this

@Peanits I think if they did the aura trails like we had for carrying a lantern for the survivor side at least it would be neat. I personally am not always looking to be super stealth claudette similar to legacys that are bright and stand out. I do think it is better than what Charms sounded like during the live stream.

Honestly, you get 1,000,000 BP in 1-2 session(s) of playing killer. (And survivor BP are getting buffed so we have to see how this will go.) A better pipping/ranking and matchmaking system would be a better motivation to get to the high ranks.
Instead of bonus BP, I'd like to see a simple skin as a reward for getting to rank 1 each season. It can be really, really simple like just a red shirt with a "1", for example.
It's more about the principle that a skin that would only be available for a certain amount of time and that can't be obtained any other way would be a so much better motivation than bonus BP.

@Peanits I have to agree with you.
I rather the rewards suggested to be reduced and adapted for rank resets, letting you be eligible for each tier once per season.
And as mentioned before in this (and many other threads), rank rewards and devotion rewards are both something that needs to be added in the game.

I would love to know your secrets @NoShinyPony
32k Max Points x 605% = Assuming 5 Anniversary Cakes and BBQ equates to: 193,600 blood points at max. Assuming you had a perfect game and setup. This would take at least 5 matches as killer.
The average 25k per game at only double with bbq is 50k a match which takes a bit more than two sessions. I think you meant two hours.

@Jdsgames I didn't write "matches". A gaming session consists of several matches. I'd also assume that 1 killer match gives 50k including BBQ. Add a few BP offerings and there's no problem getting 500k BP in one session. If you play a bit longer, then of course it's even more than 500k BP.

Impressive considering that the maximum score is 32k without offerings and perks. It becomes 196,800 with BBQ and 4 gruesome gateau. In 2 sessions with this set-up (which will never happen, except if you seek a specific group of survivors) you can get 393,600.

@Redcum See my answer above. One session doesn't equal one match. A session consists of several matches. If you only play one match per day, then that's your thing, guys.
