Are art contests even fair?

Art contests just dont seem fair to me anymore. People with true talent draw on pencil and paper and use their hand to put in effort. But instead of their dedication to their art being shown to others, it gets put in the shadows by art that people make on computers. You know...the people with no skill what so ever and they have to have a computer to make their art nice because they dont know how to draw with their hand. Next time if theres a fair contest just put down a Art category and a Drawing category. Then it can be fair to both people you draw with their own hand and to people you use the computer.

    It isn't about the art esp with the cosmetic competiton it depends on the costume designed.Yes some use the comp etc and some people c/p which seems to be from those dress up, girl games but i guess it goes on design and such, idk.

    Dude you do realize you still need to put in effort and skill to make digital art. It's just a different medium, it's not like the computer generates the art for you.

    Idk ######### about computer design, but i wouldn't say those designers have no skill.

    Sadly I don't think this is bait. This sort of mentality exists in the Magic: the Gathering community in people who think digital art has ruined Magic's aesthetic.

    I don't know what you're asking. Yes, I have seen hand-drawn art in the real world. But this guy is saying that it takes no skill or talent whatsoever to make digital art. That's just not true.

    Ah okay sorry, i missread, yes of course it takes skill to mke real digital art but a lot c/p from sites and paint it to their liking.

    If something takes a lone time it doesn't mean Jack #########. Anyone can edit a photo and edit a picture but not every one can draw

    I think, we all should agree on the EFFORT, but then c/p now happens,just because someone draws something, doesn't mean it's better then someone who DOES ctully take the time in online digital drawing

    And plus another thing. If someone makes a mistake with digital art they can erase it with ease and start again but it's not as easy for a traditional artist. Like if they mess up with sharpie they are #########, but if someone on a computer ######### up all they have to do is click a button. Clicking a button is NOT talent

    some people can't draw with their hands, some draw in other ways, so i do not like the c/p people and pretend it is their own but doesn't art come in many forms and means and ways?

    Many of the finalists were actually drawn or painted by hand. A ton of skill goes into it either way, and a physical artwork could have very easily won.

    At least 1 of the winners could have been a hand drawn one but nope cause people who have talent drawing with their hand get nothing but a big middle fingure to the face

    @GamerGirlMiller did you even see ALL of the art work? cos i saw a lot including mine drawn by hand, like someone said, doing on linedoes take time and skill too
