The new Exposed SFX effects really undermine Michael's theme
So, the latest patch dropped an SFX change to the Exposed status for survivors. Essentially, it is the same exact sound and video cues that Ghostface has when he exposes someone. I actually like the visuals of it, but the sound is really out of place on a killer like Michael. Every time he reaches Tier 3, the sound of the Exposed status undermines the Halloween theme music, and I personally do not like the change specifically for Michael.
It'd be nice to see the sound of the status removed off Michael, but the visuals of it staying.

the little skull icon was enough tbh, we dont need a big visual change + new sounds etc,... but hey these changes arent for those of us with eyes, its for casual rank 20s I guess.

Yeah, and that too. I honestly don't know why this change was added in. It was like the pallet stun SFX they added in too. I just hate the sound of the Exposed status now, completely over top of Michael's music.

It's only survivor-sided. You can barely hear his music play when he hits Tier 3 because of the new Exposed effect changes. It's really unnecessary.

I thought the sound was just for ghostface.
Then MM went EW3 on me and it went off and I was just bummed. Theres no difference in Meyers stalking and you breaking haunted grounds or any other exposed.
Shame because the blasting piano tones really set you on edge. Now I feel like Meyers is copying Ghostface. 😆😆😂

Yeah, it's just not needed at all. You can barely hear the music now when he reaches Tier 3.

Agreed. For old farts like us, the Haloween music is so much scarier than that new sound effect. Keep it for the other killers and effects

That iconic Halloween score kicking in when Michael went EW3 was awesome. And more intimidating. Bring it back please.

Yeah, I think they thought they would keep it consistent, but honestly I just think "Ghostface here?" whenever I hear it.
Now you hear it anytime the exposed status goes off... they need to revert it back.

I thought the same thing last night against a Myers, his intimidation was gone because I couldn't hear anything but annoying ghostfaces sound. I understand why they would want to make all the exposed status the same but I prefer to know why I was exposed and that's why I like them different.

It is really jarring, you can’t even hear the original music much at all which takes away from a lot of ew3’s fear factor and it’s sad, it’s like that red stun VFX previously, we just don’t need things added sometimes, this was one of them, everyone has associated that VFX/SFX with ghostface, it’s just annoying if they have haunted grounds and/or make your choice in a match plus they’re ghostface, like did I get marked? looks at status bars etc No it’s just a random exposed. It was nice to be able to differentiate them by sound (I.e. Michael’s theme, make your choice scream, this VFX/SFX for ghosts marking, totem explosion for haunted etc) plus the skull icon was enough.

This was a poor change playing against Myers the music alone was way better. For haunted ground, make your choice, devour hope they are all fine but not EW3

After playing against some Myers, I'd have to agree. I think the new Exposed effect is generally a good thing, but for Myers specifically the sound should be removed or tuned way down. The VFX can stay.

I haven't seen this myself yet, but why do they keep adding things like this that literally no one asked for? First it was the annoying red pallet stun effect, now this. It's almost like the developers are sitting there going, "for the next update, we're going to add this completely unnecessary thing, oh the players are gonna love it!" No, if we did, we would ask for it. They need to stop adding random things out of nowhere for no apparent reason, that's all I'm saying.
