[PS4] Add Trophy Progress In-Game

PS4 lacks of something from other platforms: Seeing achievements’ progress. On Steam and Xbox One, we can keep track of our progress towards cumulative achievements, but on PS4 we can’t since there is no such thing within the PS4’s system software.

I.e. for ‘Wounded Healer’ trophy, I would be able to see that I have healed 30/50 total health states on any platform but not on PS4, thus I can’t know if all the healing I do while being injured has been registered towards the trophy. For Bill’s ‘Taking One For the Team’ trophy coming to PS4, how am I supposed to keep track of the whopping 250 hits I'll need to take near unhooked survivors and know if the hits are registered? Am I supposed to go blindly for 100 hours, unknowingly that everything I do may not be registered?

This is where I beg you to implement a Trophy progress menu screen, specially for the PS4, to keep track of our progress towards trophies. By the press of a button - in the menu/lobby or Options menu in mid-match - we can see a menu screen showing how far we progress for each trophy we haven’t earned yet.

Not only you would make everyone’s life easier to work towards trophies, it’ll be easier to report any bugged trophy to you. Please consider such feature!

This would be immensely helpful. I support this all the way.

I hope they consider to do this for us ps4 players.

This is something I would love to see too as well as an in game stat tracking page. As there are times when trophies and achievements get added and required x amount of this action but despite doing it 1000 times before the addition we now have to do it even more. An game stat page would allow for retro active trophies and achievements

Nice to hear that I’m not alone for this demand.

Im sure it wouldnt be too hard to implement either. Something like Dying Light or Dead Islands in game pause menu trophy tracker.

I was hoping sony would do this just as a whole in general but yeah bhvr should definitely consider doing this.

Sony should implement this system, but until then BHVR should make it trackable in-game.

Wouldn't that be something sony has to implement.

This would be so helpful. I'd love to see this.

It would be in the in game menu. That means they wouldnt have to have sony for anything presumably. Other games have done this before too.

Wow, didn't know PS4 didn't have it embedded like on Steam or Xbox.

So on long term achievements (Feast for the entity, Deep Cleansing etc.) PS4 users have no way to know how much they still have to do to complete it? It's either a "Do have" or "Don't have" ? 😮

  • Member Posts: 800

Yes its exactly that, its do or do not have, except for a few games that have it in a ingame menu. Thats our struggle lol

Sadly it has been like this for 11 years. Only an handful of games would have an in-game trophy progress menu.

@Gcarrara So tell me, are you a forum moderator? Do you have the power to pass my suggestion to the dev team?

In public matches, I have downed survivors somewhere between 0 and 99 times with The Huntress' Hatchets further than 24 meters.

It might be 99, but I'm pretty sure it is 0.

We absolutely need that, especially since the arrival of the achievement Taking one for the team.

I've been wishing for this feature since the first dlc's came out. The grindy trophies are not impossible to do but it would be such a big help to know if certain perks bug the trophy out and to have an idea of how much progress we have!

  • Member Posts: 30

@Peanits Do you think that a such feature will be possible?

still think this would be a good idea since the other two main platforms have something similar and I am tired of the PS4 getting the short end of the stick from the Dev's

I don't believe BHVR would retroactively pop trophies. With each new trophy list they specifically add one that heavily influences you into using one of the new perks for each the survivor and the killer. That would remove the built in "mandatory minimum" achievement whores like ourselves would spend on the new content at each release. You can see this in almost every chapter, like with Deliverance coming in the same patch as a "50 self-unhook" trophy, and pop goes the weasel accompanying a "kick 100 gens" trophy.

That said, it wouldn't be too hard to add this feature in. There's already a massive update in the roadmap this can piggyback off of. The upcoming Archive can handle this feature in a way that still thematically makes sense. Hell, add in a whole bunch of tracked stats. Seems like a tedious yet entirely doable feat.

I agree that the new trophies are directly tied to the new perks, but I don't think any of us were talking about trophies popping retroactively (correct me if I'm wrong). We would all have to start from 0 at every dlc like we should but at least we would be able to keep track of progress and understand what does and what doesn't count towards the trophy instead of guessing and hoping.

Exactly. Since previous actions don’t count retroactively towards new trophies, I don’t mind to do them from scratch. All matters is to know what does or doesn’t count towards trophies.

It was definitely mentioned in the thread. I dont care either way myself, but I'm sure there are people out there that'll be sour about it. Cant please everyone and this can be a fairly toxic community, lol

Anything new regarding this? It'd be a pain to not know the progress for "Taking One For The Team."

Hopefully the devs will at least notice this :(

It seems that in update 7.0 sony will put progress of trophies equal in xbox, but for now no date of this update.

Would love this to be added. I've been using Deliverance for the past month or 2 now trying to unhook myself 50 times. Would be great to know how much longer I gotta keep using the perk!

It seems that someone released this information a few months ago

I’m sorry to break your bubble, but this isn’t what the reality is. The 7.0 Beta rolled out a month ago and we have nothing of those. The Beta has HDR manual settings, 16 player party chat and future updates that won’t no more require reboots.

The PS4 is reaching its end life cycle, and Sony is obviously shifting its focus on the upcoming PS5. I bet those features will be on the next gen console.

Rumours are rumours, so take them with a pinch of salt.

As it stands right now, BHVR needs to integrate a Trophy Progress in-game.

Yea, I agree. But do the devs even read these forum posts?

  • Member Posts: 16

This seemed too good to be true, so far I've only seen news about bigger parties. I'll keep hoping but for now I would love to hear something from the devs on the subject of the current bugged trophies. I understand the need to focus on the upcoming chapter and features but just simply acknowledging the fact that these are bugged and to be addressed in the future would be great.

I believe the developers don't read these forums, I think only the direct contact by twitter would be able to make them look at it

I just tweeted them, let's see if there is any response.

@Gocee Looks like they haven’t read then.
