Why only 4 bottles for clown?

I feel like clown should have 6 bottles in his basekit, maybe 7 or 8.

I dont understand how a midtier M1 killer has to reload after 4 bottles.

    If he could just keep throwing bottles that many times, no one would ever be able to shake him in a chase. He would stop needing to use them tactically, and could just start chucking them with reckless abandon.

    Freddy gets 10 dream tokens with no placement slowdown for his snares. Giving clown two more bottles won't push him over any power level - he'll still be far below the Hag.

    This. Freddy can just spam the ######### out of his snares and will get you ez in a loop

    as someone who lately has found a lot of joy in playing clown, i would love that!

    on the other hand, those bottles are REALLY strong in a chase, having 8 might be a bit of an overkill...

    i can usually catch a survivor with 4 bottles - i love the 5th bottle add on though.


    i wouldnt mind having ~5 bottles by default. that would be really cool.

    yet i also dont believe he needs buffs in the chase aspect. he is already VERY good at that. if you ask me, he should have a way to travel the map quickly.

    maybe if they added some "jack in the box" boxes on the maps, spread out of course, that he can teleport to? (so he climbs out of them, similar to a jack in the box)

    maybe survivors could also sabotage them to make them unavailable for a short time?

    that would certainly add some strength in the cathegory he is lacking the most: map pressure.

    Because otherwise he'd be too strong, obviously, and killers that are too strong aren't fun for survivors to play against.

    I guess it’s because of his addons, as some give an extra bottle, still 5 or 6 at base would be a pretty nice buff and maybe rework those other bottle number addons a little/into something else. It’s not like they actually do the damage like huntress hatchets. But then imagining this combined with pinky finger as a base number of bottles...hmm. That would probably need to be changed a little as a result.

    But isn’t the point of this thread to remove those addons and make 5 or so bottles base so you can run effectiveness addons without having to bother with bottle addons?

    I agree I tend to lean towards increased reload speed, exhaustion and intoxicated duration addons myself with clown but this is about adding a bottle or two to base so you aren’t reloading near every time you down a survivor/finish a chase isn’t it?

    well, we could also reduce reload time or reload slowdown if giving more ammo isnt possible.

    also possible would be to make the gas itself more dangerous by tweaking AOE, slowdown or duration.
