Developer Update!!!
I'm pleasantly surprised and happy with everything in the update. Reducing the Grind and making a multiplayer game more friendly to play.

The update sounds great!
Just curious, will the players who grinded the perks in the current system get a reward or something? Like they did with legacy when they reduced the grind the first time.
I'm not asking for something big, just something so it doesn't feel like I "wasted" all those bloodpoints to P3 MAX my characters....
But anyway, the update sounds great and needed.
The only thing scaring me now is the nurse nerf....

I have P3'd with all perks on 9 survivors and I also have all perks on most killers but not prestiged them, so I hope for some kind of compensation being it either small or big.

The new update sounds awesome its really cool we're getting the inner working friends list so we can play on with swf and stuff. Only thing some people like myself somtimes just wanna game in quiet will this new system show others that your on the game and if so will there be a feature to hide yourself? Just a query because I know some games do and some others dont
Keep up the great work devs, on this awesome game!

@Absolute_Zero @CakeDuty I would not expect any compensation but if we do get 4 chapters for the next several years this maybe a MASSIVE QUALITY OF LIFE BUFF!!!! Even helping to retain new players turned off by the grind is healthy for the game.

I agree with CakeDuty. If the grind is gong to get reduced after I have already put so much time into it, compensation would be appreciated. I perfectly understand why they are reducing the grind it's for the better, but I don't like hearing it as someone who has put in the work to get to where they are.

Awesome, thank you. I hope it will because that will make these changes incredible for the game in general for me. Ive always wanted a easier way and to not keep inviting every game be awesome.

I don't see why there would be any need for compensation, and also, where do you draw the line as to who gets compensated and who doesn't?
Like if you purchased an item from a store, and a few months later it is on super sale at 75% off, do you go to the store and ask that you get some money back? No. You played the game, you spent your BP, its just one of those things.

Please read again. I never asked for legacy. It was just an example.
It would just be nice to have something.
The line could just be something like:
On this character he has x amount of perks, so he had to go through y amount of bloodwebs, so he gets z amount of whatever. Like bloodbpoints (not a full compensation, just something) or whatever.

Whoops.
Nothing to see here😁

One prestige is where I draw the line. Why not give some iridescent shards or something?

I'm exalted with almost every faction in World of Warcraft, which took years of focused effort. But I also know it's a broken and stupid system, and I would not bat an eye if they overhauled the rep system to make it more reasonable for everyone. It is just a video game, not a job or a life commitment where I feel I'm owed something.
Just because you put a bunch of time into an obviously broken system doesn't mean you deserve a cookie when they finally get it fixed. All this kind of attitude does is introduce hesitancy in the developers' end about whether they should even move forward with these kinds of improvements. It's better for everybody if the grind is improved. That is your reward.
EDIT: I started this reply off on an insistently mean-spirited note. I decided to remove that part and I apologize.

who doesn’t reward players for grinding so hard? Hopefully BHVR doesn’t turn out to be one of those companies.

My reward for having grinded out all my survivor and killer perks thus far is that I now have all those perks available to me on Claudette and Spirit.
But, as I have stated elsewhere, it would be in my and everyone's best interests for the grind to be more reasonable all around, so that you can build up a reasonable and targeted perk inventory for any character you might be interested in sampling.
