"The Nightmare" Wish of balance.
Hey devs, I would certainty wish and love for The Nightmare buff in up-coming update. I would also like to help you guys with some of my ideas that I think would certainty help The Nightmare rise through the ranks.
My idea for balancing out the nightmare is this:
ability changes:
-Change the decrease in action speed when survivors in the dream to -25% from -50%.
-Remove the ability to shown the survivors auras when they are outside of his terror radius.
-Removed The Nightmare Lullaby.
-Now visible, his terror radius is now audible in both worlds, and he can now hit the survivors regardless of what survivor world he/she is in.
-But when The Nightmare tried to put survivors into the dream world and entered the "Dream Transition", The Nightmare is unable to hurt that survivor until the Dream Transition is over. He also suffers 7% movement speed penalty when at least one survivor is in dream transition.
-Survivors now has a 30% chance to exit the dream world when Failing a healing skill-check.
-Survivors now also have a 50% to exit the dream world when failing a repair skill-check.
-When Survivors failed a skill-check in the dream world, their aura is shown for 7 seconds. However does NOT show the aura of the survivor who failed the skill-check and succeed to exit out the dream world.
Author notes - ( The Reason why The Nightmare is weak is because he missed a lot of opportunity's that the normal killer take advantage of [i.e. Early Hits, Camping] and generally waste time and give survivors enough time to reach safety. I also found his ability quite easily countered and escape, Survivors in the dream world are failing skill-check all the time because it is not punishing survivors for doing so, as of matter of fact, actually Rewarding survivors for doing it. Self-Care users and those who abuse the failed skill-check is seriously overpowered option against The Nightmare. So nerf that strat help the nightmare stronger. )

Great ideas, great balance. Getting out of the Dream World was a struggle in the movies, why not here? Get punished for taking risky chances, and no more of that free Adrenaline BS.

What about this?:
- DT (short for Dream Transition) reduced by 2 seconds (down to 5 sec). Any related add-on won't stack.
- DT reduced by 25% on survivors affected by Exhaustion.
Survivors receive an action speed penalty of 25% during DT. Exhausted survivors cannot interact with environment for the entirety of the DT but they can still vault, drop pallets and hide in lockers (M1 actions are disabled).
Skill check odds are reduced by 35% while healing once in the Dream World. (9.75% - Healing another Survivor.
8.125% - Healing oneself with a Medi-Kit.
6.825% - Healing oneself with Self Care.
8% - Generator Repair.)Auto-aim won't work on awake survivors
- Moderately lessened fog in the Dream World
The add-on Swing Chains will instead cause Exhaustion for 30 seconds on survivors pulled in dream for the second time. Rarity switched from Rare to Very Rare.
Outdoor Rope and Jump Rope add-ons will affect DT as well.

wow, how to make him even worse guide.
so let's get this straight, his power is to put survivor in dream world where he has -25 slow on action speed? it takes 7 seconds, and he can't hurt them. Why would you use that ability, if it's so easy to get out of it and it does not hinder survivor?
The reason why he's weak is because his power is easily countered. Imagine if you can't get out of dream world once in it. Suddenly you have the most powerful killer in game. It's not about "missed opportunities" but about downsides outweighing the powers.
Even wraith would be better choice with his invisible + speed boost to help you start chase

I dont quite get this. How is this a balance? Abuse skill checks? lol what??? How do survivors abuse skill checks? Rewarding? So you don't get a notification on missed skill checks? I do. all the time. People make suggestions thinking only about countering SWF but dont actually balance killers against the solo population or other killers who have magnificent powers.
Slowing Freddy down for any reason will get him looped more than he already is. I dont think ive played against a Freddy who didn't continuously slug due to deer-stalker built into his kit.
