Deaf player
As a deaf player on xbox one, I would really like a rumble effect on the controller when the killer is close by, especially against Michael Myers and the spirit
kindest regards Kevin

I'm sorry but this wouldn't be possible without breaking the game, the fact is that if they would add a kind of wheel to say the direction of the killer or what he's doing just like fortnite mobile did, it would be used by every one because they don't know if you are deaf or not and every body would end up using it, and it would be a huge buff to all survivors

This would be pretty interesting to have, I can't see anything wrong with it. I'll let the team know!
I'm not sure how much assistance it would be in the meantime, maybe you've already figured out something, but I would suggest giving Spine Chill a try. It's not a perfect replacement, of course, since it does take a perk slot, but I've spoken to a few other deaf players and they have mentioned that it helps them a lot.

The controller is just gonna rumble while in the terror radius. The closer the killer the harder it rumbles. Nothing visual.

I mean, mobile DBD has visual queues for TR and noise and whatnot, regardless of whether the player can hear or not.

Love how a simple request for vibration to be add would break the game. No where did op say anything about arrows pointing what directions they killer is. I actually think this would be a good add on to the game for everyone for a more immersive experience. The vibration could go with the beat of the heart .

Certain perks like Unnerving Presence already let the survivors know the killer is around way before their terror radius appears. No way something like this would break the game.

Really?
This idea is not a survivor buff, but more of a way to get more players playing this game. Currently deaf players can't get the full potential of this game, so this edition would definitely encourage more deaf players to join the community.
And so what if other players use it? It's not like it gives the average player more information than they currently have because we have ears to sense the killer. Having a vibration wouldn't make it any easier to sense the killer when you can just... ya know... use your ears. Both variations are equal in strength. :)

Its a great point, it should be in the game options.

Yeah, also players who can hear the terror radius are not having any advantage because its mono, so you dont have any direction where its coming the terror, adding a rumble will give a chance to more players to enjoy the game without breaking the core play.

Great idea don't know what they'd do for pc though

Dont worry, sound gets bugged every 3 patches anyways.
Nice option for console or controllers on pc though.

I personally feel like it would make skill checks a touch more difficult but maybe I'm over thinking it.

So this never gonna happen right ?

Some kind of visual que of when you are in the terror radius could also help, though it would need to be somewhat subtle so as not to break immersion.

YES YES YES
Visible icon bar for all the noises this game makes on top like breathing grunts ect.
Heartbeat vibration
And colorblind modes for all eyes please !

If it can help in the meantime, you can use perks like Stake Out or Diversion to know when you're in the terror radius without the need to hear the heartbeat.

It could be an option which disables sound but enables you this so ppl that aren't deaf for eg can't abuse this.
