Is it fair to be punished when a killer camps?
I've noticed some games where the killer hard camps their first hook, it is very difficult to safety pip and borderline impossible to rank up. You hardly get any benevolence or chaser emblem as they won't let you unhook and they won't chase you which results in either safety piping or worse yet, deranking. This happens even if you escape the trial.
I think people should be allowed to play however they please (withing reason of course) but being punished for something you have no control over doesn't seem fair.
EDIT: I should clarify, I do not mean getting caught and the killer camping you. I am talking about your teammate getting caught, the rest of the team doing gens and escaping.

But if you don't lose pips for being camped then how will killers generate their hate mail!?????

You could try not being found first.
Boom something you could do.
Sorry if that was too much.

Ohhhhhh. Well, the devs are considering giving survivors bp/s for survival category.
But xyour concern seems to be the emblems....
Sorry, no idea. The emblems are wellmeant, but have horrible flaws (exposed/chainsaws only counting once for example). And I'm pretty sure you cant force a killer to injure survivors for benevolence etc if he doesnt want to.

Well somebody has got to be found first and it's no more fair for them than it is for you.

The punishment is self inflicted. Stealth and teamwork beat a camper before and after a hook.
