using key on dying state?
so i have a few friends that told me , when i was playing with them, that you usually could use key to open hatch when you are in dying state, wich i know for sure it's impossible, they told me they did open it with a key... well i need an official confirmation to show them that you can't use any key when downed... or sometjing changed? @Peanits ? help pls :)

So you are aware that your friends are talking rubbish and that it's not possible to open a hatch with a key while downed? And you only want an official confirmation so that you can show it to your friends and say "I told you so"?

Unless they changed something recently? because you definitely can open hatch with a key while downed, I've done it plenty of times

This happened to me a month back. I had a survivor in dying state with a key and I closed the hatch as Spirit. I dropped him before to catch someone else and hooks were far away so I left him for a moment. I turned around and he was already gone (escaped through the hatch). I was surprised because I didn't knew it was possible. After that I thought it was a part of the game.
It happened on ps4.

well it seems that was a bug.... i play for 2 years, never happened, lol... i don't know what to think now :D

oh well, ps4 vs pc.. :D i think that on consoles, bugs are in a bigger number than pc ... :D i saw clips with bugs that on pc were fixed a loong time ago... or at least were much rare

Ur half right u can't use items that requires channel action to use opening a hatch with a key is click instead of a channel action so u can use it in dying state + I used key while I was on the ground to open hatch like 2 times and seen it happened a lot as well so it's not a bug and NoShinyPony I don't have a record of that if u want to ask because I'm not a person who record every single second of me playing

Maybe it is a bug I don't know but even if this is a bug they should leave it because if u would be only able to use key when not in dying state this would make it the most useless item especially since a lot of killer would just tunnel u or slug u so u can't use it at all

Key is only the top of iceberg on list of things that can piss killer off + countering key is not that hard either u make sure that person with key goes down or just run franklin's to get rid of it forever yesterday I had freedy who tried to counter keys ( we had 2 and found 3rd in a box ) so hard that he tunneled key users first and then 3 gen us and still he failed and dc'ed so let's not assume that key is THAT strong

I agree with the first part, but the rest seems like someone is triggered .
Tbh, it would be stupid if you can open the hatch in dying state. And I feel like survivors should lose their items on the ground if they get downed.
But keys are rare to get like moris, you can barely find them in chests and as a killer you can pull survivors out of the hatch if they use a key. And the conditions for spawning the hatch are not that easy or atleast that fast.
Don't act like no one plays the killer just because you can't get over stuff. Their is a reason why killers have to wait some time or longer for a lobby.

No he destroyed all keys ( so he countered them as he wanted ) and he dc'ed when I opened the gate in front of his face because he wanted to grab me of the gate he simply ragequited because even after so long he had only one kill because he preferred to camp the gens instead of going after us
