Following that same logic, any bad killer can end a chase faster than nurse but up against good survivors a nurse will more often than not end a chase faster than huntress, also the majority of killers run bbq, you should be predicting it, so yes, it I still your fault.

I very much play who i want too. I don't feel bad what perks i use, add ons i use, i haven't ever been insulted before for using a killer, so that sort of boggles me why some would do that. Sure people have bad mouthd at me both killer and survs for what perks and add ons i use. I couldn't give a rats ass what people think. Use who you want, don't feel guilty about it, you are there as a killer to kill. Best thing anyway is just turn off chat and only person i watch stream wise is hybrid panda, he is funny and down to earth and cool.

Not every killer can go from a hatchet hit to the M1 with little to no cooldown so no not every killer can down a survivor faster then huntress...

I love spine chill not just because it go against spirit... it helps with every killer in every game it just hits harder when going against every other killer that's not spirit or nurse...

Hillbilly can down a survivor before as soon as a chase starts, are you actually trying to argue that huntress is stronger than Nurse/Spirit? If so then that is completely wrong.
Huntress is also very loopable at a lot of loops.

Wasnt the plan of the devs to "delink" killer powers from perks? Like for example iron will beeing absolutely needed against spirit to have at least the slightest chance against her.
I think that was also the reason why nurses calling did not work with doctor snapping out anymore. So what should be done about that now @Peanits?
It's imo bad designed to be forced using specific perks to counter a killer power

Depends on the map, like, in certain maps, even skilled Huntress are f*cked.

Skill is involved in every killer, skilled can mean about anything, if the huntress is a god tier huntress then she’d likely be harder to play against an average spirit, however skilled could also mean good an I’d rather face the good huntress than the average spirit.

Her biggest weakness is a blendette. That style of play is the opposite of what a Spirit wants. Luckily everyone prefers to loops.

Then why are there so many players making the statement that spirit requires no skill and just a good pair headphones? If skill weren't needed and survivors truly had no chance to make a play and escape I'd be in the same line as many others.... I supported and still to this day support what the devs did to legion-----> what old legion was is the definition of "no counter play" .... you were down no matter what you did, got git even if you performed the sexiest 360, juke of your DBD career... I dont see how spirit even relates to that sort of play..... she gives me thrills/chills when going against her and I actually have fun even if I get stomped while playing her...

She requires tracking skill, mechanic skill and basic game knowledge, she doesn’t have much counter play but she isn’t comparable to old legion, I haven’t seen anyone compare the two actually.

My bad I was speaking specifically it's good against her since her ability lies in chase potential. Best thing I have can say would be path switching. You have 5 seconds to attempt to confuse them. If you can confuse them they could end up far enough to screw them. It's not something you just auto learn tho.

spirit is just too easy to pick up and be "good" with since all you need is good ears. with nurse you need to practice some hours at least and then you have also more counterplay against her than against spirit. and ppl are just frustrated because there is nothing you can do if you dont run iron will.

Many players state she has no counterplay....imho I feel they use "no counterplay" to grab attention... when they state this I look back at old legion because that was actually a killer who had no counterplay....

I generally try to use strong windows against her or attempt to guess her path at pallets, I’ve confusing them can work but usually isn’t the best move.

I think Spirit is a unique and interesting design that deserves her place in DbD, and despite its "issues", should not receive a Legion-like treatment that half-way neuters her ability. There are however two fundamental flaws with Spirit: she is a killer designed to be about guessing and prediction games, mindgames, yet in-Phase collision and add-ons take away from this gameplay. In-Phase collision regularly means that Spirit does not have to guess or predict a survivor's movements, but can - intentionally as well as accidentally - feel for the survivor, little to no thought required; add-ons modify the specifics and timings of her phasing mechanics, changing activation time, movement speed, duration, recovery - these variables are crucial for a survivor to effectively be able to guess, predict and play mindgames against Spirit though, and since these variables always change with the use of add-ons, there isn't a basis for becoming familiar enough with them to yield consistent counter-gameplay (and some of those add-ons, especially when stacked, are simply overtuned anyway).
In-Phase collision simply has to be removed, it's a glaring design flaw. The add-ons that tweak those aforementioned variables should be toned down to keep Spirit within a range that is accessible to experience, so that the difference between base Spirit and add-on Spirit is within a realm of predictability. Maybe simply making it so that they don't stack would be enough.
In turn, I think the passive phasing mechanic should be made more of an actual, proactive chase tool, allowing the killer player to be able to tell when Spirit is passively phasing, so that they may actively use it to their advantage.
There are also Prayer Beads and Father's Glasses which are both pretty ridiculous add-ons, but it's not like there aren't a variety of other ridiculous add-ons in the game, on both sides. This would be something for a larger game "philosophy" overhaul, I guess, where things such as Iridescent Head and Syringes, Ebonies and Keys (basically "F*** You!" things) are reconsidered on, to an extent or another.
The "tracking" issue with Spirit on the other hand is not a fundamental design flaw, I think. Scratchmarks make for interactive gameplay, since a survivor can control them. Audio tracking is not precise enough to remove counterplay, and also has means of control (walking instead of running to prevent footsteps and panting). Only injured noises are a problem, making chase interactions on tile play turn into 50/50s a lot of the time, since the noises can give away if the survivor does anything but to commit to one side of a pallet or window hoping it's the one Spirit does not end up on. Iron Will exists, and while it is a viable choice against any killer and therefore not a "wasted slot" by any stretch, I would argue killers that actually manage to diversify meta perk choices are something positive for the game. Balanced Landing is a great perk survivors would have no reason to ever not bring - but since it is not very effective against Nurse and Spirit, it is not a clear-cut decision, making it so that Dead Hard and even Lithe are often considered instead of BL (or alongside BL, but that's already two perk slots spent). Same can be argued for Spine Chill, Dance With Me, Quick & Quiet, Poised, Fixated, and other perks. I enjoy stealth-juke gameplay (losing the killer mid-chase), and so I welcome that Nurse and Spirit encourage as much, even introducing it into the meta, leading to more people building and practicing for that skill.
There is one thing that should be changed however: Stridor should not be basically a hard-counter to Iron Will. Maybe it should only make Iron Will-having survivors' cries of pain play at 25% volume, or like No Mither, result in a reduced frequency of the cries.
Also: Spirit currently has what is to be considered a bug, where there are visual cues on her model that give away whether she is phasing or not. That obviously needs to be fixed.

Spirit needs a nerf she is not like nurse and requires practically no skill unlike nurse although both need a serious nerf and both have no counters at all.

I've been playing since the alpha, actually, and I even stream the game on a regular basis in red ranks and without ruin. If you don't want to discuss something, that's fine, you don't have to, but telling someone that they don't play the game enough isn't an argument.

Nurse has counterplay. Nurse takes some level of skill and awareness to 4k. The issue isn't Nurse, it's her addons.
Spirit is a coinflip at unsafe pallets. And you need 2 heads to win a chase.

Yes stealth is totally counter play.
No stealth does not work against all killers equally.
Spirit is indeed weak to stealth. If you make her spend a lot of time just finding you then that's equal to time in a chase. She's a 110 killer, she can't search an area as quickly as a Billy, which makes it easier to hide behind things. Just play super immersed and don't take huge risks you can beat a Spirit. Have all 4 players doing, that I've seen it work.

If phase collision is removed then perhaps prayer beads can be reworked to allow Spirit to have collision while phasing. I wouldn't mind this change as well as grass moving during phase.

I honestly find the Spirit sooo frustrating to play against, but I never say bad things to killers. Her power is really awesome, but yeah, it can be annoying for survivors because it lets the killer play their mindgames and not all survivors are ready for mindgames after a lose streak :D It's easy to get emotional and lose the ability to think logically.

Same still applies. Missing a phase can mean the difference between that Survivor going down and them reaching a jungle gym.
It's got a considerable amount of risk to it.
