So... bullying Spirit mains is a thing now?
Last time I played this game with Spirit my chat was a mess. People were telling that I should kill myself for using her, saying that my only skill is my expensive pair of headphones, so many dcs then the match becomes annoying (which makes me feel bad for chasing the rest and eventually I let them live). Not to mention how her reputation is constantly ruined by people who have voice in this community. Tofu, Scott and other streamers are always making a bad impression of Spirit and her mains.
I think everyone should play whatever and however they want but it sucks when you got so much hate and I'm starting to feel ashamed for using Spirit. I'm not a prayer beads user. Same case to my Huntress... never liked iri heads and honestly? Spirit doesn't need prayer breads. I love to play with her green add ons and also, I just love this killer! Her playstile/aesthetic are my favorite things in this game and that's all about it. Is everyone facing the same issue when it comes to Spirit? I think we should use our voice to at least get a nerf to prayer beads and let this character in peace (and her mains)

Don't feel bad for sore losers. You have every right to play the game however you like, as long as you are blatantly cheating or exploiting broken bugs. Don't let people get to you, keep your chin up. You earned your wins.

The hate towards Spirit is beyond me.
I met a survivor who accepted to play even against a Nurse with 3 blinks, but when he played against Spirit, he DCed immediately after he got downed. Like #########, a 3 blink Nurse doesn't mind you, but a Spirit with 2 green add-ons does ?

Dont let them coerce you..survivors have the tools to fight her they just have the high and mighty feeling they should always win no matter the build they run..killers on the other hand should be forced to run ruin just to have some viability? No..they are just mouth pieces for ignorant streamers whom dont know Jack but pose as if they do..they should learn to play..not beg for nerfs till it happens..and the devs would be wise to acknowledge this

I'm sorry that people are being awful to you just because you play spirit, but you should probably expect DCs when playing her. She's a very un-fun killer to play against for most people (including me) since you're basically flipping a coin to determine whether or not you're getting hit. She's the main reason I don't play survivor as often as I normally would, and while any harassment you receive is completely unnecessary and uncalled for, DCs should probably be expected.

You're always flipping a coin when you're mind gaming. If you play enough killer you get used to not seeing your opponent a lot of the time while you're doing it with your limited view.

Doesn't make it any less of a coin flip. A good spirit with good hearing can just hear your footsteps, and there's nothing I can do about. I'm sorry that I don't have fun playing against her.

I'll admit, I don't know how, and I really want to. Everything I try to do against spirits tends to backfire. I haven't been able to find a good resource online that helps me deal with her, so I've kinda just been trying to work stuff out on my own. If you know of anything useful, I'd really appreciate you sharing it with me!

People that flame spirit are usually survivor mains. She takes a lot of skill and, different than nurse, she got a hardcounter: Iron Will.

Iron Will and Spine Chill are LIFESAVERS. Quick and Quiet and Dance With Me is also good.

They're just salty that you're playing one of the strongest Killers in the game. Ignore them. Close the post game chat or make your messages and friend requests private. A challenge isn't something a lot of Survivor mains really enjoy. Wouldn't be surprised if all of the DCing is an attempt to get her "reworked", also known as nerfed into the ground.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! We're free to love or hate things, I just found this hate very unnecessary when it turns in a personal thing. I don't take this game so seriously but never in my head I thought people hates me because I use THIS killer. I will use another killers besides Spirit to give survivors a good time, too but she is still my favorite and always will be. No matter what nerf she will receive in the future. I run Quick and Quiet with Iron Will on survivor
Oddly Iron Will isn't as powerful if your efficient at tracking, but most people dont take advantage of the environment when in phase as well . Still sucks though.

Spirit is not fun that's why you get salty players. The same thing goes for nurse myself, i hate spirit but i respect players who play her. Nurse is just my pick over spirit everyday.

Even 3 blink Nurse is insane, it feels more "fair" to be downed by such a nurse than a spirit. At least that's how I see it. I would accept a deal to verse Nurse mains every single day for every damn match in exchange to never verse spirit. But that's just me I guess.

Honestly I think people just to refuse to adapt to her. She forces a style of play people dont want to accept and get used to. The last few killers have started to force people into new styles of play. Spirit is also not very common so learning strategies against Spirit is hard. I think most people who know these strategies are the same Spirit Mains since they watch people try and try to figure out methods.

She is quite easy to play honestly. U just need to "train" your ears and once you got used to some tricks survivors do you can pretty much destroy them no matter what.

Finally someone who gets it Spirit just challenge your senses.

Spirit trains your split second decisions/tracking with sounds/environment/scratches/mind games. This makes it so when you play other killers you develop your skills as a killer faster.
Pig combined with Spirit actually trains everything you need in the game.

i find spirit the most annoying killer.. so i can relate. i would rather face nurses and billys than a p3 spirit

I hate VS spirit , there's nothing fun going up against her or nurse (but of course that's another topic)
Going against spirit is like being caught out in the open and some lunatic has a shotgun pointed at you and says
*"just dodge my shell 5head"*
Iron will - kinda helps her not hear you sure, but doesn't stop her from following you and slashing you even if you backtrack.
Spinechill- the only good help vs stealth killers/nurse/ spirit
Distortion - only good if they're running BBQ but you might as well just hide in a locker so you can use a better perk over this
Lightweight- kinda helps Idk, I have it on permanently cause screw spirit
Other than that just get the gens done as fast as possible , that's the only reliable thing vs spirits

I disagree. Because of her phase cooldown, her mistakes are amplified, as well as her powers.
High risk - high reward plays are even riskier with her.

Versing Spirit I always find to be very fun, this is a horror game and I'm really glad to see another killer who gives me great spooks. Stay Spooky Rin

The people who flame you for playing Spirit and claim that she has no counterplay are the same people that have never played her against good survivors. Nearly every SWF at rank 5 and beyond is an anti-Spirit squad. I have an easier time with Freddy at red ranks now.

I see the same thing 2/4 people are running iron will, quick and quiet or light weight. It's kinda refreshing honestly.

Her skill cap is weird it's in multiple places. Her skill cap is low for average to good Spirits and really high for people who have broken through and pushed themselves to make her better.
Shes low risk high reward.

I juked a red rank spirit for two minutes today. 4 survivors x 120s x 3 hooks > 600s

Killers have to run certain perks to counter things survivors do but if you ask survivors to do the same it's a problem?

Yep because that means they can't run all the OP perks lmao. It's like they haven't played any mmo or rpg with a pvp system.

Personally i main her as she is a fun to play and is used in high rank games she also is hard to learn how to mind game with her. Another reason is that most perks work well with her and she is able to maintain a huge amount of map pressure but she can still be looped like other killers and bullied by the right people some games i get a 4K other games i get 1 or 2 kills. I still play survivor and have still have trouble looping her sometimes but you can still do it.

Except that you don't. Just admit that Iron Will is a meta perk and try someone else besides running in circles.
Iron Will gives Nurse fits too and greatly helps your mind games at loops against all killers.

Iron will only works so so against Spirit because some spirits can hear footsteps, not saying spirit needs a nerf but please stop saying Iron Will counters her, it really just depends.
Also, idc if you hate facing something, harassment is not ok. I hope you reported them.

ugh idk why people have to belittle each other in a discussion, prayer beads probably needs to be ultra rare instead of fathers glasses if not reworked but spirit imo is fine we shouldn't bandwagon on nerfs or spew hate for people that play the killers that gives people trouble just like how people try to nerf Billy. A pvp game is always gonna have the few characters that perform better than the rest, not every killer should have the same tactics work on them either imo people seriously need to play killer and survivor to see the full picture too jeez.

Spirit is my least favourite Killer to against but i wouldn't even think of telling the killer to kill himself.
I just kill myself on hook, move on to the next game and hope it's not Spirit again.
