So how are hex totem locations fixed?

Because they're still spawning in easy-to-see, obvious places. Also I have to add that now some of them tend to spawn one near another or next to the other.

Hex Totems locations were not fixed at all. Please look into it.

Thanks.

They have spawn locations that are a little harder to see, like a horse shoe of tires around it or a little cubby in a jungle gym. But they kept the old favorites like on a hill or against the shack, and right there in the wide open for all to see.

They should increase the totem size by 250% and set them truly ablaze. It won't make them any different to find but might just save you a few more seconds while the survivors stare in amazement.

Many of them still spawn in the open with no cover, next to a generator or on top of a mountain

The only thing they fixed is that the killer hardly sees his own totem now.
It happens quite frequently that I have to search longer for my totem than survivors need to cleanse it

If i cant find it in 10 seconds I just continue on, no need to waste what little time I have trying to find something that wont last more than 30 seconds.

Pretty much all of the assets on a map are randomly placed in fixed locations. The very large assists, like buildings, don’t appear to change location. The meat packing plant seems to shuffle and rotate rooms. Jungle gyms are like Tetris pieces, where the pieces are semi-randomly placed in certain configurations. There are many left over pieces that are left outside of the map. If you’ve ever been unlucky enough to be TP’d outside of the wall, you’ll see the left over pieces. I don’t know the exact number of fixed totem locations per map, but each of the 5 totems will randomly spawn in 1 of those locations.

I’ve seen 3 totems spawn in the same house, upstairs, downstairs, and the cellar. To fix this, they would need to implement rules on how close together totems can spawn, and re-adjust if need be. Sounds easy, but it can lead to deadlock type issues.

I see no difference. Some are trying to hide behind the wooden boxes.... which despawn if you are further then 16m away from them while totem remains a shining star.

What do you mean, those Hexes on the hill last all game! I'm very lucky to be getting spots like that every game, it's like the Entity blessed me.

@Doom_Punk if hexes on hills are lasting for your entire game, then you must be playing in the lower ranks. They are the easiest to find, and they are taken down almost instantly in the higher tiers. If a killer tries to camp a totem, he loses the game, as the gens will be done in no time.

    I was being sarcastic. 8-)

Aside from some exceptions, many maps just don’t have good spots either. I think the real solution here is to either let the killer place them, or make it so you have to cleanse ALL totems to remove the hexes. This would slow down the game as well.

Just defend your totem, duh. Killers are always whining.

As long as a totem can spawn on the outcropping of a hill tile (the lighthouse totem), the totem locations are broken.

Thats my fav as surv. You can see that ######### from a mile away. Why is placing them on a hill even a thing. Oh, yeah. So it can be destroyed. Sure, but within 30 seconds?

On the other hand a really well placed one has thrown far too many games in the killers' favor with possibly one or maybe two gens getting done before we are dead.

i guess you win some and lose some. As killer i gave up on ruin. It got spotted too many times for me to run it and since i am not in the game to get rank one id rather use something else.
