The worst map ever.

The new map simply sucks for the survivors. I have not met any safe pallets, that is, on any of them you get a guaranteed hit if the killer has at least some experience playing. Accordingly, there is no normal counter-game (it’s the same as playing against the spirit on any map in this game, just for comparison), what interest is this for me, as a survivor? You can compare with this map only the Lery’s Memorial Institute - the same closed map, where you sometimes can only guess what lies ahead (disgusting), but at least there are windows and at least a small number of safe pallets.

P.S. Do not advise to take a balanced landing. The dumbest thing you can do is to advise me to take a perk that I do not need for one of 30-40 maps (I don’t remember the exact amount) and nothing else. I just wanted to leave a review.

Wait a month at least before saying it's horrible. Ppl will find their marks soon enough.

Also, yes I see there's not a lot of pallets BUT this map is on three floor and you can easily trick the killer into thinking you went somewhere else than your actual location.

There's also the fact this map just like the hospital has a ton of vaults you can use instead of pallets.

My issues with this map are twofold.

One: It's almost nothing but narrow corridors. This is aggravating, no matter which role I'm playing.

Two: The "noise profile" of the map is an active deterrent to enjoying the game. There are tons of noises that are confusing, and make me think there's a survivor nearby or something when there isn't. The constant rumbling is also very irritating. They ought to make the map quieter.

This isn't 2016 anymore, nobody wants to play immersed. If you want to survive on this map you have to get a pallet stun then run to the next loop, this isn't healthy for the game at all.

Again, it is so easy to mind ######### the killer using the staircase and MANY lockers and vaults...

I know that this is "survivor side" thread, but I have to say it somewhere : Pig on this map is SICK

And as survivor your only way is to play immersive

Yamaoka, Ormond, and Temple are worst maps aesthetic-wise and cruelest on computers with lesser graphics. This new map does not even compare. There are some pretty fun spots interspersed with not-so-fun ones.

I like all the noises. Maps that have no noises are boring. It adds ambience and atmosphere.

That may be, and I'm not opposed to atmosphere. I think this map goes kinda overboard with how loud everything is, though.

Yamaoka Estate is the worst for me. Followed by the lovely cornfields.

The point of that map is no safe pallets. It's their new philosophy on map design. It's how they did Bedham, it's how they plan to make every map in the future.

That's the same issue as with chase music. On killer side it's nothing more but nuisance, while survs just know that killer is close due to TR mechanic and half of them wouldn't notice killer's breath. For the killer steps and breathing is bread and butter. Hawkins rooms are burning barrels on steroids, it always feels like surv is breathing right next to you.

I like pallets on Hawkins, but not on Badham. Despite that "most" of pallets are unsafe on Badham, it still has enough of safe ones to make it unfavorable, it's just there is so many pallets now that amount of save pallets gets lost in all the unsave ones. Plus Badham map is giantic.

I like the new pallet philosophy, because the old one (with the good pallets and bad pallets) is the reason why killer like nurse or spirit are so powerful: They just ignores most of them.

And with this new philosophy all killers are nurse level and survivors are meat for them

The map is alright, it's definitely going to be more difficult considering it's indoors and no killer shack but the thing about a chase is that it's not supposed to be a killer getting looped on one pallet for a minute. The pallets are intentionally unsafe, you're supposed to run around the map in an effort to maintain distance between the killer and yourself. Not teabag at a safe pallet then run it for 8 loops then drop it.

This is nowhere NEAR new Badham. That map has a safe side and an unsafe side, it allows for counterplay on both sides. Basically, there is no counterplay to these pallets because if you don't get the stun you will get hit.

And just like one of the posts above me said, this game will die if the new map changes go through and they're like this one, even with the new map. Once you take away looping which a majority of the playerbase loves there goes the fun in the game, nobody thinks this is a horror game after 100 hours. Nobody likes playing immersed, its boring.

I don't get how the devs think unsafe pallets everywhere are a good idea. There's no counter-play. Either you drop the pallet, and get hit through it or you drop the pallet and get hit no matter which way you vault. Let's not even mention bloodlust which just means free hits all around. You're right, you shouldn't need to run a specific exhaustion perk to make a map somewhat safe. Even with balanced, though, you're still #########.

After some more playtime on the Hawkins Laboratory map... I've gotta say, of all the things that exist in this game, this map is literally the only thing that has me wondering if it's time to quit.

It's really THAT BAD, in terms of layout, getting to anything, understanding critical routes. Like, maybe if all the random closed doors near gens and stuff were open, it would be a lot better. But even just walking to a spot you want to reach is utterly confusing. And I'm talking as survivor AND killer -- it's equally miserable for both sides. This is not a good map, at all.

So yeah, I dunno. I don't want to be that guy who DCs because there's a mechanic I don't like, because I have never disconnected from a match, not one single time, killer or survivor, in the year that I have played. But at best, I think this map is the tipping point for that behavior in me. Either that or I immediately suicide on hook as a survivor, or go to the basement as killer, and let survivors win while I alt-Tab out and do something else. No other mechanic in this game has ever made me think those are good ideas.
