Hitting Someone While Their Unhooking Someone Should Slow their Unhooking Progress 50%
Because
a) The duration length for pulling them off their hook onto your shoulders is so short and inconsistent — that is, reliant on capricious ping — that at least a safer measure for what should be an obvious down should happen.
b) Think about it: You're in the worst possible spot imaginable. A brutal Killer is right behind you. You deserve to go down if you're going to make greedy or self-sacrificial saves.
c) The Killer should not be attacking the bloody HOOKED survivor by accident when there is a body right next to them trying to save them. Imagine in Nightmare on Elm Street movie Freddy Kruger hooks a victim, then his obvious effect is to take down to rescuer, but misses and hits the hooked victim. Well then Freddy just looks like an idiot. Not scary! But with our controls, and with body blocking, it sometimes does happen that you miss a very clear, available, open target.
You'll have objections, but I will counter all of them. "Well, just hit them correctly!" Look above, bodaggit.

Constructive, please?

I believe they're fixing it so that the lunge doesn't target survivors, and it doesn't make the sound of a hit, it's the sound of hitting a pallet or wall. I like it for hitting unhookers and not the bloody guy on the hook, although I'll miss bming toxic survivor with the thwack on the hook.

No, swapping hook partners is good enough compensation.

No, currently if someone is doing something that unsafe you will get a return hook, and a free hit on the person who was saved. it's fine as is, if you can't capitalize on it then that's on you.

It's constructive enough. If the guy were to think for the other side (ie; survivors) he would see how ridiculous this would be. It would buff camping, it would buff tunneling.

I would say the only thing that should be fixed is sometimes the hitboxes of the hooked survivor, sometimes when I hit/chainsaw the survivor, directly into his ass, I still hit somehow sometimes the guy on the hook through him. That is really annoying sometimes but everything else is completly fine.

I thought when you are hit when are unhooking someone, the unhook action is COMPLETELY CANCELLED. I've done this many times and have to redo the unhook each time.
If it bothers you so much. Don't hit them. GRAB them. That ends everything there and then.
And if you can't hit the unhooker, seriously that's your fault. Do you need any more hand holding for hitting a stationary, unmoving target?

The only killer that can grab unhookers reliably is doctor in treatment mode. Everyone else can get ez baited by surves just standing there clicked the hooked. I really dont bother grabbing unhookers but the op seems to.

Why grab just hit them with the good old saw lol

For one, when hit a survivor stops unhooking, and to continue unhooking, will get them down, second the cooldown for a killer to hit the survivor is roughly about the same time it takes to unhook the survivor, meaning you will still get someone down if they are already injured. I think its pretty balanced.

Bad idea.

Its a Grab at best and trade at worst assuming you play it out right, I don't see why there needs to be more mechanics stacked against a survivor in a situation like that.

This is a bad idea... it would further encourage camping which is already annoying enough as it is.
1 -
Well usually when you hit them once it cancels it thus you can get a second hit on them, I'm only assuming you are camping because there would be no other reason when you would care if the person on the hook stays on the hook

I disagree with the slowing down but I do believe that they should get rid of hitting the hooked survivor. It's point is to be more toxic and I don't like it.

I hear you. But this adds an element of strategy to the game. People don't want the game to play out like a movie.

Hell yeah

I don't think you understand the grab feature all that well. To be able to grab someone you only have a limited time range to do so, the grabbing someone requires you to be right there, and hitting the attack button on time. As well as being too late, they can only hope to get a hit in on lunging the saving survivor.
The whole problem with the lunging, or even regular hitting just makes you attack the hooked survivor, as aim bot is trash, is that it targets either the closest or the requirements for the aim assist to come into action. Not only is the whole assist thing a problem, but hits go through the unhooker, but then again, hitboxes have always been a bit broken.

uh no because if they run stbfl they wont get the unhook instead they will just get downed with no 1 for 1.

This Is a terrible idea.
You can already grab them off while unhooking which I feel is terrible as well.
You may as well just say Hey Unhooking is not fair everyone should just have to sit on the hook and die because I am the killer and I NEED EVERYONE TO DIE ALWAYS

So much complains just leave it as it is.And get good..
