Should Survivors have a "Cover" Button?
By "Cover" I am talking about Gears of War-style cover: when you are up against an obstacle you press the button and you flatten yourself against the obstacle as if trying to get cover from gunfire.
The purpose of course wouldn't be to avoid bullets, though I can see it being used against Huntress possibly. The bigger reason is to give a buff to stealth: now Survivors can lessen the visible area of their model by hugging obstacles and making themselves look smaller.
Not sure how big a deal it would be but I'd like to see a feature like this.
If not part of the base game, then maybe a perk? (I hate Bandaid Perks)

That would be kinda cool, make stealth more viable and fun

I think it would be a cool addition. Considering how devs work, it would be tied to a perk though.

Would be really cool and especially useful for male survivors. They can't hide behind trees as well as females, since their arm stick out a lot further. I try hiding behind a tree but Quentin just wants to show his right arm to the killer.😥

I don't think it'd be a bad idea, but should probably come with a drawback for the survs like limiting LoS.
But as long as it doesn't make them immune/invincible then I'm fine with it.

Any buff to stealth or also juking in general is welcome once the majority of maps have been reworked. If killers receive more counterplay in chases to be more deadly, I feel like survivors should have their stealth buffed a bit to have their chances of evading the killer slightly increased.
Personally I wish that the crouch movement speed of survivors was increased by like 30% so it's not quite as slow as it is now.

@CakeDuty Jeff Main here. I know your suffering very well. Most half high walls on older maps like Autoheaven or MacMillan do not hide your head while crouched as well (looking at you, trash piles!).
I would like to test such feature.

Seems cool.

I really like this idea. I hope the devs consider it.

I like this a lot, would add slightly more dynamic to the game

I like the idea. Actually I had the same idea in mind. Survivors are supposed to have an advantage in hiding and killers in chasing. At the moment the survivors are good in hide and chases (loops) as well. Killers shouldn't be looped because they are supposed to be good "hunting their prey" but right now a good survivor and a good team specially makes the hunter a prey when it should be the other way around.
I would like to see an increase of 5% (10% in some cases) of all killer's base speed. I tested it with PWYF and it is really good for some killers. Not as a perk, the killer's base speed should be bigger and Bloodlust should give you a better boost speed (like 0.5 , 1.0 , 1,5 or at least 0.3 , 0.6 , 0,9 )

Devs have made it clear they don't take suggestions regarding increasing killer base speed. They don't respond to these kinds of suggestions.
More tools for Killers to win chases would be nice. Same for more or better stealth options as Survivor. I play both sides, I definitely want to be able to exit chases more often instead of having to loop the Killer.

Dude, YES!
It’s such a simple idea, but it’ll make being stealthy so much more immersive, heh heh.
They could make I like Ghost Face’s leaning ability and have you hide around corners and zoom in to see past. While you’re standing, you plant yourself against the wall and glance in the direction where you’re looking without peeking out so that you don’t get spotted. While crouching, you sit against the wall and do the same.
Just... yes!

iirc Last of Us (or another similar game) had a reactive cover system where if you just walked up to cover it would automatically use it without having to press a button to go up against it. If a cover system were to happen I'd like it to be like that.

I like the idea IF it fixes the camera where you can’t see over or around the cover you’re pressing against

I think such an automatic cover system would clash with looping, depending on implementation.

While this cover feature doesnt sound like a bad idea, i think the current killers arent strong enough to warrant such feature.

Oh, thanks. I didn't know that.
