Is camping ok........
During the end game collapse is it acceptable to camp to try and secure a kill? During the match I will not camp or tunnel but I throw those rules out the window once the final gen is completed. If there is an opportunity to trade one survivor for another I will do that, but I will do whatever necessary to secure at least one kill. I am sure this goes against the survivor rule book, but is it really that bad?

... OH. Sneaky Title.
I'd say yes, in that context camping is okay. Cause.... really if the gates are open... can you tell me anything else worth doing?
Where else could you be other than watching the other 3 tbag the gate? Better to just have a chat with the unlucky guy, and hope his team doesnt have BT too close to the gate.... and he doesnt have DS if they do get him off.... cause then that boi is getting away 10000000%
But remember, don't get upset if they DO get away. just gg and move on.

No, it is not. You dont have to patrol gens anymore so secure the guy on the hook. Dont run to the other side of the corner coz survivors tell you so.

The survivor rulebook is just a meme, no sane person actually thinks like that.
Yes, camping is always okay. It's a perfectly valid strategy in any context. It's also not fun for the survivors, and they will hold you responsible for stopping them from having a fun time because... well, you are.
Basically, camp all you like. Just don't be surprised if the survivors aren't too happy with you afterwards.

You can play any way you want. Camping is a strategy. Not effective, mind you, but it makes sense for you to camp when the final gen is done. There's nothing else to defend, so it's justified.
Survivors obviously hate it and will do anything to make you stop making them lose. But just ignore them. Nobody controls how YOU, and how YOU ALONE play the game you think it should be played.
So still: Yes, you can camp, and you are protected by doing it, as you cannot be banned for doing it. Camp away my friend!

it doesn't really matter if its ok to camp, if the killer wants to camp they will camp, the devs are aware of it and there really nothing they can do to stop them from doing it

At that point you don't exactly have any other objectives than the survivors themselves, so if anything you probably should stick around. I tend to leave just enough room so they can trade places with eachother on the hook as it gives me more points of all kinds which at that point I appreciate more than a single kill.

No it is not a problem, during the endgame collapse you have the objective to secure the kill, so you can camp or trade survivors. But you still get punished for it on the score

You can camp & tunnel whenever you want.
From a tactical point of view, it usually makes sense to camp when the exit gates are open. There are also a lot of situations where it's a smart tactical choice to camp before the gates are open.
Don't feel bad for playing smart.

Any tactic is valid, it's just tiring to go against.

It's fine any time @kcwolf1975 . Play how you want to.
Why care what others may think?

If I'm not running endgame build or perks
Rancor, Noed, Blood warden or remember me
You better know that the second the last generator pops whoever gets downed or is currently on a hook is going to get camped I have no reason to leave.
Remaining survivors should leave or attempt their saves but if you're going for the save realise that I have no problem with you guys playing musical hooks

Yes camping is ok. Just make sure to turn that post game chat off fast as you can...

@Volfawott Musical hooks, nice! That is the only time I like playing against swf. They never want to leave anyone behind.
