[Switch] My Initial feedback/suggestion for Switch version of DBD
Hello everyone,
I've purchased and started playing DBD on Switch, here are some of the initial feedback I'd like to share and discuss with the DBD community and DBD Switch team.
- Default Controls for Switch
- I found that default control settings for Switch doesn't feel too natural to someone who played over 300 hours on PC version. I switched Running/Crunching button to right side because my left thumb will be constantly controlling the survivors, and having those controls same side would cause difficulties. therefore, I've swapped all action related buttons & control related buttons for better maneuver
- Skill check & progress bar size
- I also found that skill check & progress bar are just scaled down from PC version, and not necessarily reworked as opposed to mobile version, therefore, it if often difficult for me to have a clear visibility on the skill check (circle) and progress bar, I believe that it should be bigger or reworked like mobile version for clear visibility. I'm playing DBD on original switch version, so for those who are playing DBD on Switch Lite will suffer more from this
- Graphics & Frame Rates
- I'm fully aware that Switch would not be able to support the high level of graphics quality, however, from seeing from other switch exclusive games, I believe that there definitely is a room for improvement from graphics quality for better. (Currently, the graphics looks almost identical to Mobile version, 'watered-down' version)
- I also find the graphics & frame rates critical for DBD for highly demanding and quick action sequences, I still see the similar 'skipping' skill check bar & bit of lags even in the tutorial mode
- Pricing & Nintendo E-shop info
- It wasn't clear on why some of the DLC were included in the package, separated to purchasable DLC, and some aren't even available. DBD stock goes on same below $10 on Steam, but for $40 on Switch, I wish that at least DLCs up to 2018 should have been included for the pricing tag, and to honor the title "Definitive Edition," in which most of the games include all of their existing DLCs. But I'm aware of the 3rd party licensing issues. (but would it have been that difficult??)
- Cross-Platform & Integration
- It is disappointing that the game which requires huge player base locked the player pool to platform specific. At least with the integration with Steam accounts where those users who already have some of the DLCs purchased can also be used in the other platform. Personally, I would have still paid ~$60 for the base game, yet integrate with the PC version where I've made lots of character progress & DLCs purchased. Please reconsider this as for those countries with smaller player pool will suffer more for having platform specific communities. We've seen this made possible for some of the games where more than one platform user could interact with all of the other platforms (Minecraft, Fortnite, etc)
Thanks for the reading and I hope some of the items I've brought up gets feed in to corresponding team, and hopefully gets fixed or revised (especially for #5) so all of the DBD users can play the game on whichever the platform & devices they would like.
Thanks

Frame rates are one of the problems to be solved as soon as possible. The killers have many sequences with very low frame rates, and for survivors low frame rates greatly damage the possibility to make perfect skill cheks, in fact the HEX: Ruin is an even more powerful perk on the Nintendo version than on the other platforms, a mandatory perk for killers.
