Since DS got nerfed, it shouldn't be countered by slugging.
What if when the killer is next to you and your in dying state the timer didnt go down? Its so annoying and unfun to be tunneled and then DS be renedered usless cuz the killer is to afraid of a one time use DS and slugs for 1 minute. It literally wastes an entire perk slot.

Agreed. Just shorten the timer.
12 -
Well this is because 60 seconds is very long and being stunned and letting someone start a chase again is TERRIBLE for a Killer. Slugging is literally the only way around it other than keeping count for every survivor in your head cause you don't know who has what.
Alot of people seem to think DS is immunity to the Killer for 60 seconds. If you get unhooked and get in my face, you are laying down for a bit. Bring Unbreakable.
26 -
I agree.
DS needs changed that if you are slugged, the timer doesn't go down.
However, if you are healed to full health, DS should deactivate.
7 -
You aren’t being tunneled if the killer leaves you to go find others which is the whole point of slugging.
65 -
This too is a good point
5 -
DS is fine as it is.
15 -
He doesnt leave. He stares at me and waits the timer out
4 -
Then he's giving up the other gens. Well done, your sacrifice will be remembered.
28 -
Are you by any chance the last survivor alive? Because even at low ranks I've never come across a killer who will stare at me and wait for the timer to go out. They usually walk away potentially patrol, but there's usually an opportunity for me to be healed.
3 -
Lol your argument is garbage. "Bring unbreakable". So i can get up and then you instantly down me because your standing over me waiting for my DS timer to run down? Unbreakable is extremely situational. You want me to use an entire perk slot for that?
4 -
He’s throwing the game just to kill you, DS is still doing it’s job.
14 -
Yea id be completely down for the timer to be shortened and the timer stop if the killer is directly on you waiting for your DS timer to run down while in the dying state.
2 -
I love how not only do you insult me, but you pick one thing out (a perk that is widely regarded as useful) to trash. I am starting to think you will not change your narrow view...
8 -
He wasted 60 seconds. Assuming one person came to the rescue, that should be two free gens. That's shifting the game in your favor, not in his. Plus, as long as there is an obsession in the game, he doesn't know for sure whose running it. If he does that for everyone he downs of the hook, that's up to 4 minutes of free time for everyone else! Never seen someone complain about free escapes before.
4 -
He is likely standing over you waiting for it to go soon because you took advantage of the fact that you're immune for a a full 60 second and taking advantage of the fact that its broken. I'm so tired of hooking a guy near a gen, having them get unhooked and hopping on the gen in front of me. The perk can be for 60 seconds, but hoping in a locker, healing, doing a gen, etc but should cancel it.
If you're flaunting your DS, im going to make sure you die. I'm unconcerned about "winning". Winning to me just turned into watching you die.
14 -
Not only is tunneling made up, but asking for a perk that is already used and abused beyond belief to be buffed because now you don't like another completely legit aspect of the game is ludacris
Ya, if this situation bothers you enough, then it may be worth it to equip its counter. Being able to pin point certian areas of your round which you wish had gone differently, and actively bring a way to make these changes, is just one of the many perks in this game.
6 -
DS should be activated for as long as you are in the radius of terror as the perk of Adam Francis Distraction. It would be better this way for people who use it.
1 -
Thats a great idea actually and id be completely fine with that

Ur entitled to your opinion

Lol u ever played with randoms?
1 -
I do all the time.
3 -
Pack it up people. No need to give this thread attention if they wont listen.
3 -
Nobody needs to give you attention
0 -
I didnt insult you. I insulted your argument. And did i ever call unbreakable trash? No. Its a good perk but useless when the killer is standing over you
0 -
Crawl to a pallet and then get up, throw the pallet down immediately after getting up.
5 -
60 second is barely enough time to do anything when your playing with randoms. Randoms do not have the coordination to just go do gens or have 2 people do gens while one comes for the save
0 -
Even after its nerf D.Strike is still one of the most powerful perks in the game mate.
It does not need a buff in the slightest. If anything it still needs another nerf.
4 -
Randoms do though, I’ve played with tons of other randoms that play better than most swf players.
4 -
Explain to me how tunneling is made up? The definition of tunneling is going after the survivor you just hooked in an attempt to kill them much quicker. Theyve made perks to literally counter it and theyve nerfed perks and made them anti tunneling perks. Hows it used an abused? You tunnel, you get punished. Simple as that.
0 -
Okay. If it wastes an entire perk slot, how bout not using it?
1 -
Technically its not "immunity". You can fail the skill check. And what does going into a locker do? The killer knows your there and will just wait 60 seconds.
0 -
That wouldnt be a bad implementation. Thank you for offerings to rework the perks and not just saying git gud
1 -
Honestly the perk could use another slight nerf due to killers having issue with not tunneling and still getting hit by it. It's a perk if you find it's not good enough now just use another one.
7 -
I dont flaunt it. I run away while the killer is tunneling me and then get downed. Then, because the killer tunneled, they know that theres a chance that they will be punished for tunneling so they just wait it out so they dont get stunned. Making the perk useless and only stalls for 60 seconds if the killer is staring at you.
0 -
why not? u brought an entire perk to counter tunneling didnt u? so why are u so angry about someone suggesting u bring a perk to counter slugging? its literally no different
2 -
It only lasts 60 seconds. Just dont go after the survivor you just hooked for 60 seconds and then you wont be punished.
0 -
So dont use a perk because killers are toxic and wait out the 60 seconds?
0 -
Survivor 1 gets unhooked. I hook survivors 2 and 3. Find survivor 1, chase them, down them, and get hit with DS. But gee, my bad, I should've had a stop watch to keep track of how long it'd been since they got unhooked.
And for anyone who says "You must've been doing good that match, it couldn't have made a difference," no, wrong. While I was stunned by DS survivors 2 and 3 were unhooked, so all four survivors are on their feet and the pressure I'd suddenly managed to put on them was completely lost.
Sorry, I hate that argument. Killers do not have to tunnel to get punished by DS, and it is not as simple as "just don't go after the survivor."
9 -
Free escapes for randoms sure. For the one being affected by it, its just a depip and wasted time watching the killer stare at you. Not everyone plays SWF
1 -
Its only powerful if you tunnel
0 -
"Since DS got nerfed" Actually it basically got buffed. I started playing ~3 months before the change and learned quickly to be a "butter fingers" on my obsession. Current DS doesn't even let the killer perform a single action before you can activate it. IE you can just sit under the hook force yourself to get 'tunneled' and DS your way away for no reason besides the laughs. I'd all be up for this buff if it meant things that show you aren't being tunneled is happening deactivates it: being outside of terror radius for x seconds (suppose not against stealth killers, so ignore this one), healing up, working on gens (beyond a tap to stop regressions of course). Or the current meta: take me out of this locker I dare you, or walk away and leave me be because you can't pressure my team at all with this stand off. Oh pulled me out? I'll hop back in, head on! That'll teach you to tunnel me after hooking my ally and hitting me for my now healed state!

Agreed. Usually at the end of games, I often just have to stand there and wait for their DS timer to run out. This really isn't how horror should work ...
Imagine Michael Myers in Halloween 4 when he's about to snap Brady's neck on the staircase, but then he thinks, "Oh, he may have DS though ... better put him down."
To be fair, right after Rachel then palleted Michael with a bunch of objects thrown down at the steps to slow him down. ROFL!!!

Imagine thinking Unbreakable is situational but DS isn't? And if you wanna cry about it so much then maybe don't run DS and run Unbreakable instead. He will most likely assume everyone has DS and therefore slug you. Now, you have a perk that not only counters what they are doing, but can be used to fake out killers. And if you're gonna cry about getting downed after Unbreakable, run dead hard.
You can't sit here and complain about one of the most powerful perks in the game being countered by a style of play. That's literally called balance.
If you wanna run by your train of thought, we should just make the most powerful killer perk have the same idea. So new NoEd. If all the totems are destroyed when the gates are powered, the killer still gains a movement speed bonus and if anyone directly makes contact with the killer (body blocking) they earn themselves an Exposed status for 30 seconds and the timer is paused as long as they're in chase. That's fair, right?

DS is right where it needs to be...
0 -
using unbreakable with it is the ultimate slug jebait
1 -
Being slugged is not even that optimal tbh.
Someone could easily come back and heal you to FULL health... You keep DS for another round and the killer didn’t get another hook out of you. All which already beats getting to use it just to go down and hooked again.
DS is fine as it is.

@UlvenDagoth The moment it used "Ur" instead of "You're," showed us what we're dealing with.

Truer words have never been spoken. It's hilarious to me when survivors cry out "Wow you tunneler" or "You had to tunnel to get kill"
Ah yes, because the logical thing to do would be to extend the chase and go after the fully healed guy. Of course, deciding who to hit off of an unhook is based in the situation, but the fact that anyone who dies early on screams that they got tunneled is pathetic. It is made up. It's called playing smart. I had a guy who was literally awful at stealth so I just kept running into him and he accused me of tunneling. It's not my fault you're so easy to track.

Alright. I'll start with that is just a made up deffinition to describe a situation in which survivors have felt is "unfair" and "not fun"
Some killers may also say that a highly effective strategy is "is going after the survivor you just hooked in an attempt to kill them much quicker." Fortunately a fair amount of killers realize when a team mate is being a d-bag and will punish them for blatantly unsafe rescues.
The devs have pandered to the masses because they realize it was best for the overall health of the game to limit these situations that left many disgruntled. This I'm fine with as I am rather fond of powerful but situational perks.
If you can't think of or admit to how decisive strikes 60 seconds of unregulated ability to stun a killer that has downed and picked you up, then I'm not going to be able to convince you. There are to many to even get into on this thread.
Tl;Dr: killers main goal is to get sacrifices. Suggesting that you deserve a minute of unregulated immunity that only requires a skill check after being unhooked because it's not fun to die, is not fair.
