Should Object of Obsession be changed?
I was talking to a friend of mine recently in regards to how certain survivors and killers play the game, and we got to the point where we were talking about Object of Obsession.
I mentioned to him how I was tired of seeing Object of Obsession in my games, because I usually suspect that if someone has OoO, they will most likely be in an SWF group with someone. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I just don't find those games to be fun. If one person in the group knows where I am and what I am doing the whole time, I just shut down playing and AFK in the corner until everyone goes out of the gates. I try not to DC but I admit there are times when the frustration is just too much to bare or handle.
He told me that OoO should probably be changed entirely, he mentioned something that I know a lot of people here will get riled up but:
"It should have restrictions if the survivors are playing with SW-"
Okay I think I poked the bear a bit too much there..
But yeah, from a Killer's POV, seeing someone with Object of Obsession usually means that whoever it is is going to be abnormally good at the game and provide their teammates with whatever information they need at all times to avoid getting even close to the killer. This is assuming that the SWF teams are using voice comms or a group chat of some kind (though the latter is more uncommon).
I'm not saying this perk needs to be changed. I'm just asking if it should. Because after personally going through 5 matches with people using OoO using the killer that some people here think has no counterplay, and feeling hopeless in even trying to get a win, I personally think this perk can be looked at somewhat. I'm not saying it has to be changed or nerfed or whatever. I'm just saying that a perk like OoO can make the game really not fun for one side.
And given the recent arguments I've been hearing from both sides, we both just wanna have fun in this game right?

Yes it should be changed.
Yes, we just want to have fun.

With the coming undetectable buffs to stealth killers and instaheal nerfs to survivors it won’t be as broken. If you’re running OoO you should expect to get tunneled to death, it’s just the way it is

Well OoO is broken imo, makes the game way to easy for survivors as it is very easy to give to others what the killer is doing. I wonder why they create "undetectable" for stealth killers in some situation instead of changing the perk itself. The perk destroys not only stealth killers but what about hag, trapper?
The only thing that helps is to tunnel OoO out of your match, if you do it quick enough you might have a chance but keep in mind that is also what the players usually want.
