Gen Rushing & Juking

Hello all! I am new to the forum, but not the game.
I have suggestions on things I would like to see changed in Dead by Daylight, as I have always found them quite frustrating. More so the frustrations I find when playing as killer.

1.Generator progression/Gen-rushing.
I feel generators still turn on much too quick. If there could please be more of a slower progression. Many rounds I'm finding that there simply is not enough time to catch anyone/everyone and sacrifice. Especially when each survivor has to be hooked multiple times.

2.Juking/Zigzagging/Circling.
One of the most frustrating parts to me is the quick evading that survivors are allowed to do when the killer gets close. I have mentioned before on the Steam forum that there should be a radius in front of the killer. If the killer catches up to the survivor and the survivor enters this radius, then it temporarily locks them into a position where they are unable to turn.

3.Survivor speed.
Another change I would welcome is to have survivors lose speed once hit. More times than not when I hit a survivor they are able to somehow marathon speed around the map, continually pallet looping and dodging.

  1. Body-blocking/Hook-blocking.
I have always felt that hook-blocking has no place in this game. The killer can swipe at the ones who block, but I find that is hardly a deterrent for the blockers since survivors can easily heal. Without enough time, and possibly a perk like "Iron Grasp" to make sure the captured survivor won't escape while you're busy swiping at everyone blocking, then most often the one caught escapes. It's a flawed part of the game that I wish would desperately be fixed.

5.Notice of last survivor.
I mention this one as I recently played a game where the last survivor ended up hiding in the map. I searched as best I could but could not locate them. The time dragged on as the survivor had a laugh at my expense through sending me inbox messages, and I eventually had to quit. I believe the game should have a timer that sets as soon as there is one survivor left.

If the survivor does not either escape through the exit gates or the hatch by an allotted time, then that last survivor becomes visible on the map for the killer to see. There are certain perks like "Whispers" that can help the killer detect where the survivor may be, but that is not always equipped when a situation like a survivor endlessly hiding happens.

That is all for now, and thank you for listening.

This guy wants the dev to fix all "HIS" flaws so he can win...what a baby
Hook blocking takes teamwork, most maps you don't have 4 players all willing to play as a team, so really this is a one off to promote playing as a team, that IS what its supposed to be 4v1 that's why the killer has such an advantage correct? I think the dev's should add voice comms to the game for the survivors, that way it can truly be 4v1 every map. The devs have that the game is 4v1 but it really isn't.

Add voice comms and then smash down the nerf hammer on all survivors. This has always been my opinion, but devs don't want to do this

Hook blocking for solo players is really difficult to pull off I agree, but the game has to be balanced around a team playing with all tools as efficient as possible

Jeez, unhappy in your life much? Someone has an opinion that doesn't match your own and they're instantly, "a baby." You're on a forum insulting others with childish name calling, and I'm the baby?

Killer has the advantage? Where do you live? EVERYTHING is in the hands of the survivors not Killers, and if you don't agree with that you're an idiot. Simple as that! You can loop almoust EVERY killer for 15mins on almoust every map, whilst other 3 work on gens that get done quicker than 100m sprint is ran. I agree with Memento's 1st point, the 2nd and 4th one i don't agree with, because it's super rare that 3 survivors body block, it usually is 1 who blocks and it's not even hard to hook the one survivor on ur shoulder even with 1 body block. just put survivors on the nearest hook ;)

This game is balanced around rank 20.

One more thing. As far as juking/circling is concerned i would have to say git gud. I deal with it as killer. I learned how to deal with it. You should not be given yet more tools to lose the killer because as of now you cant on your own.

Locking the killers' movement cos you cant juke him? I understand that things are getting pretty tight in the game now for survs but you still have a lot of tools to use. First is not to get caught and if you do then do the pallet loops and jungle gyms. Dev's are reducing the amount of time a SINGLE surv can hold off the supposed stronger killer. This is intended. So deal with it. I do as surv and as killer.

Hello there, my killer maining friend!
Why would you want to nerf survivors to the ground instead of
    G I T
    U
    D ?
Let me give you some tips for you to understand how many possibilities you have as killer.

    1. Generator progression/Gen-rushing.
As long as you can hook people you WILL slow game down. You got one hooked and one guy (atleast) running to save him. And at this time they don't repair gens. And, obviously, you can use perks to slow game down. And also, if you frustrated enough and you see, that survivors still genrush as there is no tomorrow, you can use 3 gens strat. Works perfect almost with every killer.

      1. Juking/Zigzagging/Circling.
Don't swing at random, time your hit FFS! And, btw, this ######### requires a lot of practice, so if survivor succesful at this - he deserved it.
    2. There is a limited amount of pallets. Use enduring and swing and survivor at pallet in order to force them to drop it. Or just swing it at random to scare survivor and force them to drop pallets. Use bamboozled to get rid of good pallets near windows. If you really can't (or don't want) to chase survivor at looping spot for 5 gens, don't freakin do it! Just accept, that, for example, main building in Red Forest or Cow tree in Coldwind Farm or killer shack - not the best places where you want to chase survivors. If you don't have bamboozled. Or traps as hag or trapper.

    3. Bodyblock is fine, since it requires a bit of teamwork and cooperation. There a little hints for you to counter this:
      a) If you grabbed survivor and you noticed that other survivors run towards you and hook for bodyblock - they most likely didn't make it in time anyway.
      b) You can get free hit if there is only one survivor. Why you complain?
      c) If you have all team near hook for bodyblock - you most likely not gonna make it. But, still, you can take free hits.
      d) Don't hit survivors until you near hooks. Survivors just trying to bait you for doing so. You slow down considerably if you doing this, whenever you was succesful or not.
      e) Don't underestimate Agitation! Usually survivors using the fact that you walk slower with another survivor on your shoulder, when they trying bodyblock. Give a hit, and then give them hit again with the power of agitation, lol. This is kinda funny.

    4. Notice of last survivor.
Claudette in her natural habitat, lol. Well, use whispers. Or make an epic hatch standoff for 4 hours as one guy did. Anyway, there is no much counter about his, but devs still working on it.

Yeah list is broken but welcome to Dbd forum, it quotes twice and I can't delete it in mobile... nice

In general I agree with you, but you realize that you can only bring 4 perks? It cane be a solution to counter general broken design with a perk

Problem with genrush in is when t is accompanied with looping (I mean good survivors)

Sure the pallets are limited but good survivors don't waste them and this way there are re plenty of pallets to loop long enough

Saying bodyblock ia fine because it requires teamwork is laughable. It might have been balanced before swf but with voice comms it's just broken IMO

Yeah, you can't counter everything. Probably, your perk build should contain perks which are better suitable for your playstyle or it should counter the things you tired most of. You kinda need to figure out this by yourself.

As for bodyblock against SWF - just check your surroundings before pickup. Its simple.
