Killer Hatch priority
The killer is supposed to have priority when it comes to a hatch standoff right? if i press Space and the survivor press M1 at the same time, then im supposed to win the hatch standoff right?
I ask this because i did the hatch closing animation and the hatch did close, but the survivor still managed to phase through the hatch door and escape.
I blame dedicated servers.

Neither side has priority.
The one that wins is the one with the better ping.
That means without Dedicated Servers killer always has priority, because he's the server. With DS the playing field is a little more equal.

This end of game mechanic was horribly survivor sided for 2 years.
It's where it should be now.

they should at least fix the animations then b/c the survivor literally phased through a closed hatch and escaped.

They can't really fix it without making it clunky. If you'd have to wait for the servers response if the hatch is open there would be situations where you, as a survivor, press the m1 prompt to escape and just stand there for a moment before either not jumping if the killer closed the hatch or escaping.
Same would of course be for killer, you stand there for a moment before closing it.

If both parties are at the hatch, whoever presses the action key first should have priority.
Amazingly simple concept, I know.
Sorry that I couldn't come up with something more complicated.

That's less an animation problem and more likley a lag problem. I wouldn't know, though.

My main problem with the Hatch right now is survivors have a hatch finding perk and killers do not.
I would suggest to fix this, make it so Whispers increases the range at which you can hear the hatch.

I don't think this is necessary. Killers have a huge built-in advantage to finding the hatch.
Whispers is a strong perk and you are just going to make it even stronger with a buff like this. There's no need.
Left Behind is a trash perk that killers make fun of me for using. Tell me, how many times have you even seen Left Behind in a game? I'm the only one I know who even uses this perk.
