The problem isnt her luck based mind games or Beads (even though thats what most people say) its that Spirit is very good at chases in general and while this isnt highlighted as much compared to her mind games i would say its definitely the real reason why survivors dislike her, a good survivor is mostly helpless in a 1v1.
I can only see hard nerfs as a way to fix her "overperforming"

I just played Spirit today, and I'm now suddenly starting to see why she needs some tweaks. I hope it's nothing major though, since she IS fun to play as it is.

Yea but survivors dont like that. Most have an expectation to be able to 1v1 the killer with a high enough skill (or delay their down for a large amount of time), and the killers that have the clear advantage get 3 second cooldowns put on their Blinks.
They want to rework/nerf her due to her overperforming but the only reason she is, is because she is one of the only killers capable of ending chases quickly. Buff the low rank killers to the level of Spirit and you will quickly see she goes down in play but that wont happen due to the amount of work needed and the increase inn complaints from people.

"Overperforming" does sound like she's next to be nerfed into the ground. Then Billy will be next. I bet Freddy will be reworked again so that all high mobility killers can't win chases because it's not "fun" for survivors, leading to massive camping.

Im just hoping Spirit remains viable because if you have ever played killer at Rank 1 you know the struggles that come with it. Not to say surviors don't have struggles but its a lot more taxing on killers. I was just hoping they can bring lower tier killers to a more viable spot and then tackle the killers they feel overpreform

As expected.
We all knew this was coming. The Devs do have a tendency to nerf/rework things which are overperforming. That's why things like DS, MOM and Selfcare were nerfed/changed. I don't know what Spirit's Kill Rate is though but it looks like it's actually high enough out of the norm for the devs to notice.

Going so far as to fix sounds so we can actually hear her footsteps would go along way to nerfing her/adding counterplay without changing her at all. I hope they start with that...since the main problem child here is the prayer beads add-on.
That said, the only real skill one needs to be a good spirit is to have a good headset. If all killers and survivors were this way too, that would be fine, but this isn't an FPS game by design (it could be but that would mean a TON of fundamental redesigns are necessary to make this ok)

Bleh....not happy for this...not every Spirit player runs Prayer Beads for practically every match possible.....
I swear, Survivors are conditioned to run Loops till the Day runs out and anything that can disrupt the typical tactics is what builds the animosity for these "reworks". I won't grab the torches & pitchforks yet...but getting wary of when Killers that are performing well..are being "looked at"

I already predicted that. The amount of complains on spirit was overshadowing nurse complains, so it's just logical that when nurse got butchered like that spirit will definelty be the next. And I will predict that Billy might get touched aswell after spirit, but then I can predict that me and many others will leave.

Not really surprised due to the amount of crying. Sucks that Survivors only M1 Killers that they can loop for five gens. Really hope it’s not another Legion situation.

Doctor is a different case. Doctor is truly unfun and super annoying but very weak at the same time so I think a rework which makes him less annoying but also stronger is the most logical step. But since when logic is a thing in this game right?

All survivors need to do is either DC or give up to boost a killers performance numbers and to the chopping block they go.

They did not confirm that shes next. If they do go with the poor decision of working on her next then I hope they make her more dependent on her power.... reduce her movement so that its even more punishing to chase for the first hit which makes it easier using her power. This would also require a duration increase and a cooldown decrease---> maybe... they could possibly take this further by reworking some of the duration addons and cooldown addons into some of the more interesting ideas that the team is capable of.
Personally I'd enjoy them helping out Doc first.

One good nerf could be to deplete her power meter after a successful hit.
right now one of the huge problems is that once you’re hit the second one is almost guaranteed. Not sure it would be enough, but it could be worth a try.

"I see a lot of players and discussions putting Nurse and Spirit up there in the highest of tiers, and since changes to the Nurse happened, people couldn't help but wonder, what's going to happen now to this other character who seems like a clear outlier? The Spirit is a statistical outlier. Since we were talking before about just, like, pure success rates and what do the stats look like, the Nurse was a character who didn't have stats that were too far out of the ordinary, because, well, there's a lot of interesting stuff about the fact that she's a lot harder to play than other characters, a lot harder to pick up... Nurse didn't get changes based on the fact that she killed too many people as a whole, it was for specific issues with the killer. Spirit is a killer who's overperforming, in such a way that, yeah, there are some changes that will be coming to Spirit. I don't have what yet, I don't have when yet, but it is something that we're looking at. And we're not here to destroy any killer, or ruin anybody's fun. Like I said, any time we're looking at a killer, it's also a good opportunity to make quality-of-life improvements. Spirit is fine? Don't be ridiculous. The devs has pointed out in the stream with Nurse that killers that are powerful would only get nerf if they are too easy to play with. In other words, They are pretty much saying killers that require no skill shouldn't be strong. So because spirit has been doing way too well and that she doesn't take much skill is the reason she is getting nerf. A killer that is powerful and doesn't take much skill to learn shouldn't be powerful. It's why Nurse kept her ability to blink through objects, it's because she is hard to learn which is why she is very powerful.

Legion should have never exist tbh. He doesn't have anything that a surivior can do to counter him. So by buffing him would just break the game so they should either delete legion or rework him compelelty like Freddy.
