Matchmaking rank determiniation

Previoulsy matchmaking, for SWF, was based on the average rank of the group.

Now, matchmaking for SWF is based on the best ranked member of the group.

I don't think either of these really accomplishes the goal. I feel that the best compromise would be use the average of the best ranked 3 members of the group. This makes it hard to twink people up while retaining enough balance that it is not ruining matchmaking for friends that are not actually trying to exploit the system.

As it is the system discourages playing with low ranked friends and encourages intentional de-ranking. It is no fun as a rank 3 killer (not me) to get a lobby of a rank 4, 7, 13, and 14... no challenge. Being the rank 13 or 14 on the survivor side of that is equally unfun. This only happens because the killer rank is based on the lowest rank (4) but an average of the lowest 3 would end up with a killer around rank 8. That would be a challenge all around.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm not sure what they should do, but I agree with you that it punishes my friends for me playing a ton during this event. Started as a rank 20, im up at rank 4 now. My friends can't really handle super tight looping, so either I get chased or the games over pretty much.

I think it's silly also that I'll random queue, get a survivor who's at 16 when I'm deep purple or red rank, then the killer is like an 8-12.
