Generator completion times is why we can't have nice things. (3 gens in 2 minutes with ruin up).
today i had a game as mikey on his map.
i hit tier 3, downed 1 survivor gen pops, 2nd down, pick him up, hook him (hook was 2 meters away) and boom 2 other gens pop before i even got to pick/find the second downed survivor. this was about 2 minute mark.
they had 1 yellow toolbox with bnp
oh and ruin was up the whole time.

you needa learn how apply map pressure or bring in perks to help sow the game down if thats your problem. killers nowadays bring thanataphobia, dying light, pop ruin. Its annoying but it does help the killer

Let me break it down for you:
- spawn
- move about 30m find bill on the first gen i walk to
- do one loop around the house - get tier 2 to about 60%
- see meg at the other end of the same house
- chase her around the side and she runs into opposing building via window vault
- pop t3 - stab meg
- gen pops above me in that house
- walk upstairs and vault window on the roof
- stab jeff instantly as he tries window tek,
- pick up jeff and drop down and move maybe 4 meters to hook him
- 2 gens pop
so 3 ppl were pressured, two went down, one got hooked and in that time survivors managed to pop 3 gens while ruin was up.
as for your arguments; thana works with everyone wounded, dying light needs hooks-tokens, pop works after hook - none of those were to change anything in those TWO MINUTES OF MATCH.
and RUIN WAS UP ALL THAT TIME.

You're talking like hex: ruin is a kind of savior. Thanks to ruin survivors learnt how to do great skill checks, so in part it's the killer's fault for relying too much on a hex. A lot of killers used & use ruin like it's some sort of saviour and now they are paying the price, survivors are getting better hitting great skillchecks with or without ruin so at the moment ruin is some kind of a joke for good survivors and something to be expected because as I said, a lot of killers use it like it's their saviour.

ruin was and is garbage. its there to buy you some time - the issue here is not ruin but gen repair speed. it takes 80 sec to repair a gen - on average after 80 seconds killer should have found, downed and chased one survivor - this means that good survivors will have 3 gens done in that time. then one is off the gen to get unhook and say another is being chased for 80 seconds - another gen pops.
gens are done way too fast.
do you know what causes survivors to die/loose?
altruism - more specific being overly altruistic.
gens should take longer to complete OR 2nd hook should be death - depending if the matches are supposed to last 5-10 minutes or 10-20.
