Not only that. But as Jason had his own game rather recently there is likely an agreement to not have Jason in any game that could compete with it. Even if F13 failed and is no longer being worked on thanks to that lawsuit, an agreement still needs to be enforced and if broken will cause more problems for everyone.

The lawsuit is actually all the more reason that it would be possible for him to come to this game. While he can claim the right to the "Friday the 13th" title, he has absolutely 0 right to Jason as a killer. And you know which game uses characters alone outside their title franchises? Hint: Think Ghost Face.
The lawsuit might have killed the original game, but since DbD only needs the character, it would be the perfect ground for him. Though if they're still trying to save the game, they would probly want to keep him for that one.

I would love to see Jason come to DbD, but also not to have him either. After the collosal train wreck that was Friday the 13th: The Game, I'd fear what the devs would do to a killer version of him in DbD, and how Survivor mains would demand the nerf hammer come down on him if he was to 'OP'. It's how I feel for any new character ever added into this game. Those Red rank survivors can't abide having a good killer around. They'll stop those precious pips after all!

Sean is the one holding everything back now Victor already won the first judge ruled in Victors favor, so now it's up to Sean they can come to a agreement and start making money or Sean can keep going with his appeal to the ruling and from what i have read and watched he will lose anyway.

I was thing bell traps, which when survivors pass throw them, they emit sound alerting Jason, and then, when he gets to an x number of times survivor pass throw them, he gets new weapons with new powers/ strenghts.

I think it would be cool to use his mist walker ability from Mortal kombat 10. Can never really feel safe without the chance of Jason just walking around the corner.

It's not quite as easy and a legal mess atm.
The ruling split it all as while Miller created the original character of Jason in the first movie by name it was Cunningham who created the actual Jason persona of him being the iconic looking killer so it ended up splitting the movies and worldwide territories for the rights.
Quite frankly it's a mess which doesn't look like being sorted anytime soon and not something I think anyone would think is a good idea to think about being mixed up in.

They already gave the answer though and nothing has changed since it was given.
They legally can't get Jason right now but if that changes then if course they would like too.
I don't see why you would want them to repeat the same response over and over. Once the lawsuit is settled then the question becomes relevant again.

Nope, definitely not that. Even after the case is settled, there's still a matter of licensing. If the owner says "No, I don't want him to be in your game," there's nothing we can do about that. It's a solid maybe. that's all. Would it be cool? Sure. Are we promising it? Absolutely not.

I'll take a pallet stun over a pk to the neck all day everyday. Jason never had to deal with multiple campers armed to the teeth with medsprays, pocketknives, firecrackers, bats, wrenches, and shotguns all in one night.
A few pallets thrown out in front of him is more believable Imo.

I hope he never gets in DBD. I hope instead we get more original killers. Because it's honestly frustrating that everyone wants (*insert existing horror icon here*) in the game, when original horror icons could be created with much more freedom.
Everyone wants The Nun, Pennywise, Alien and Chucky.
They all have their own franchises. They could maybe have their own games or whatevs. They don't need to be cameos in a game that could've instead made interesting original characters instead.

Jason used bear traps in the reboot. It's pretty clear The Trapper is our Jason. I think we are more likely to get a hockey themed trapper skin than actually getting Jason. Although even that is probably playing with legal fire. But who knows? BHVR is a Canadian company, maybe they can score a licensing deal with the NHL.
